I love Natural Instincts! It smells lovely, no harsh ammonia! It colors very well on the gray and if you use a darker color than blonde, it lasts a very long time. This brand has a great selection of colors and it conditions and moisturizes my hair. The price is awesome!

I used this demi-permanent hair dye in shade 5W Medium Warm Brown & I loved it! I have thick, long hair (to about right above my waist) & it made my hair one, beautiful, warm, medium brown just like it said it would. For context: -I looked at the reviews for awhile before I made a decision. Look at YOUR NATURAL color that the shade will work with on the back of the box! -I needed one bottle for my long, thick hair. I actually had excess left. The lather is easy to work with! -I read the directions, specifically followed the routine where I first put on the roots in sections and let sit for 15 minutes. Then I pulled the rest of the dye through & should’ve let sit for 5 but I did a little less. I could’ve done either. My hair was also unwashed, as directed. -I was skeptical because like others in the reviews, I’ve been a victim of turning my hair blackish in situations like this! -My hair hasn’t been dyed in a year. It was super dark before but faded a lot, and it ended up working out! -If there’s any damage is very little to none & my hair needs cut to begin with so I won’t blame any damage on this product, although I don’t there’s much if at all.

Short version: This stuff is legit. You should buy some. Long version: I started going gray at 18. So at baaarely this side of 40, I’m pretty much 100% gray. Like every single hair. For years I went to the salon to get dyed every. three. weeks. Enter the pandemic. 2020 was not kind to those of us who were not yet ready for a head full of steely locks. So I did the googling and decided I was going to go as natural as possible after years of strong chemicals and peeling scalps. I started mixing my own henna and indigo and my scalp was happy and the color was sometimes good (I’m not a chemist, my mixing was mostly winging it), but the entire process took eleventy million years. Every three weeks. It was not sustainable, plus my maniac children can’t be trusted with loose powders even locked away on the top shelf. So back to the google and I stumbled across this product and figured, worth a try. Well I’m a few months in and terribly impressed. It seriously honestly legitimately truly madly deeply fully covers 100% of my grays (technically I do leave it on a smidge longer than strictly recommended). Plus it’s gentle on my scalp. Yes I do have to reapply every 3 weeks, but that’s par for the course for a silver gerbil (like a fox, but a little extra lumpy) like me. Grab yourself some today!
