Great hooks!
I bought all seven crochet hooks at a great price compared to buying each one individually from a store like Joann’s. Initially, I was worried that some hooks might be missing upon arrival or that they wouldn’t be authentic Clover crochet hooks. However, I was very relieved to find out my concerns were unfounded. Each hook came individually packaged. One notable difference is that these hooks aren’t like regular-sized Clover hooks; instead of aluminum, they are made of plastic. This change didn’t bother me because when I researched it, I learned that Clover switched to plastic for making their larger hooks. These hooks are lightweight and comfortable to hold, which allow me to crochet for hours without feeling any pain. I’ve completed several projects and found the hooks to be sturdy—they don’t feel like they will snap in half. More importantly, they don’t make that annoying squeaky sound when my tension is tight. Overall, it is a good investment to make if you love to crochet.

A better crocheting experience and a better garment made!
COMPARISON OF CLOVER ARMOUR LARGE HOOKS WITH COOPAY 7 PIECE LARGE METAL HOOKSBuy Cover ArmourI’ve crocheted off and on my whole live, but usually with relatively small hooks (Nothing larger than a J hook). Then I started using thicker yarn and bought a one off N/P 10 mm plastic hook. It was fine until I started using a thick and thin yarn from a company I like very much, the same company that made the needle. Suddenly crocheting wasn’t relaxing. Stitches were sticking and splitting. My stitches were uneven. I wanted to blame the yarn, but I really trust the company and the pics on the patterns using this kind of yarn looked great. So I decided to take drastic action: Buy and compare to see if I could figure out what was going wrong.Clover Amour Crochet Hooks - Set of 7 - For Working with Thick YarnswithCoopay 7pcs Huge Crochet Hook Set (metal). Both are sold on Amazon.I don’t write many reviews, but I have to share what I’ve discovered because I feel it’s pretty huge. I thought I'd just be comparing metal vs. plastic, but it's more than that!I crocheted a long swatch of that troublesome thick and thin yarn, starting with the 15 mm Clover Armour plastic, followed by the 15 mm Coopay metal. I did this for all 7 sizes, all 14 hooks!OMG! The metal weighs a ton and my wrist after my 20+ minute experiment is actually sore. (Not kidding: you strain yr wrist not only because of the heavy weight of the hooks, but also because you are trying to move each hook in ways it’s resisting.)Here’s what I discovered overall with every hook comparison: In all instances the Clover Armour Plastic was superior.* Clover Armour needles have a great grip I’ve now fallen in love with when I didn’t think I’d care about that at all* Clover Armour needles are lighter, way lighter* Clover Armour needles are smoother: I slipped through the thick and thin yarn w/out one split because of Clover Armour hook shape and sleekness (the metal needles pulled, got stuck, and split the yarn)* Clover Armour needles give me the ability to manipulate the yarn: this may be obvious to other people, but I didn’t realize that the lightness and smoothness of the hook gives you so much greater control over the yarn and the evenness of all your stitches.*So Clover Armour stiches are more even. What I’ve learned: this isn’t just about plastic vs. metal, but of course in terms of weight, it is. I’ll probably keep using my small metal hooks. But that 10mm plastic hook I’ve been using, though light, isn’t smooth like the Clover Armour hook nor does it have the same hook shape. So some plastic may not necessarily be better than metal, though it will always be lighter.Overall, I think this is big! The experience of crocheting which can be so relaxing is way more relaxing, not to mention faster, when your hook is light, well-shaped, and super smooth. But also, the piece that you are making is going to end up looking better. So a better experience doing the actually crocheting! And better product. Your work will actually be better!!!Spend the money and buy the good Clover Armour hooks.**I’m doing this review because I care about crochet and all crocheters. Let me assure you that Clover Armour hasn’t given me anything free to say any of this!!!Happy crocheting!

These crochet hooks are really nice.
My Clover crochet hooks work great. The hooks are completely smooth and without any rough surfaces as to not to snag yarn. The length of the hooks is comfortable, and the size markings will not disappear. I would recommend these Clover crochet hooks. I especially liked the bundling of multiple hooks option when purchasing these hooks, thank you!

Amazing quality and amazing hooks!!
I have been a huge fan of these hooks since they came on the market however, I hadn’t tried the large ones meant for bulky yarn yet and these did not disappoint!! Great value for money and superior quality you expect from Clover!! The smoothness and the ergonomic design allows me to use these for hours on end!! I’ve been making some re-usable “water balloons” out of the blanket yarns and they are enjoyable to work up with these!!This seller also shipped quickly!!

The best hooks
Clover Amour hooks are the best. And these large plastic hooks are just as good as the regular hooks, and the tiny steel hooks. Now I have all the sizes. I'm ready for any (almost) crochet pattern.

Hooked on these Hooks!!!
I love these hooks. I am usually one that likes Stainless Steel/Metal hooks, but as you get. up to the bigger sizes, they don't make them (probably because they'd just be too heavy to work with). These hooks, although plastic, are very well made. The plastic is so smooth and just runs through your stitches like butter. I know that sometimes they would 'drag' a bit on the yarn and that would cause a sort of squeaking noise, but I was crocheting pretty tightly. Also, I imagine a lot depends on the type of yarn you are using. That being said, I know that noise does bother some people.Another thing I really liked was the 'feel' of the handle part of the hook. It's got a sort of grip on it, but it's not sticky or anything. It's also fairly long so if you have a bigger hand, it should still fit nicely on the handle. Also, the letter/size of the hook is 'embossed' at the bottom of the handle. It is not printed on so it can't be warn off over time... which is a good thingLastly, the weight of these hooks is so nice. They are not heavy and when you are working with thicker type yarns, that can actually weigh on the hooks. If your hooks are already kind of weighty, plus the weight of the yarn, that can really start to hurt your hands and wrists.Overall, I am super happy with these hooks and I can see myself using them for a long time to come!

Worth It
I'm new to crochet so I wasn't sure about spending so much, but they are worth it. I read a bunch of reviews across the web, watched some videos and I have to say, the hype is real. These more comfortable than a plain metal hook and quite smooth.
