Get this tablet!!
Can not say enough good things about this. Beautiful screen, fast processor, excellent touch response. Everything I had hoped for, really. I use this as a computer while I'm on the road. I work in construction and am visiting several different jobsites every week. I have to have multiple sets of plans for each job site, multiple different apps running, etc. This handles them all quickly and with ease. I purchased a separate bluetooth keyboard (didn't want to pay another $150 for the Google keyboard) and case that I use when I'm out. It sync quickly, never had a problem, and I can type almost as fast on that as I can on my laptop. My only complaint, and it's not really even a complaint, is the lack of an onboard modem. I have to use my phone as a mobile hotspot for this tablet. However, I knew this going in and so I was prepared for it. It picks up signals quickly and seems to have very good reception. The speakers aren't great, but I don't get a tablet to use for a stereo anyway. They work perfectly fine when I'm streaming Netflix or YouTube.Honestly, can't say enough good things about this tablet. As long as you don't mind a WiFi only tablet, this thing will do anything you need it to do and do it quickly and with style.

Great tablet, came really well packaged
Great tablet, came really well packaged. one of the only non-samsung tablets that doesn't have a resolution below 1080p ( most flagship phones are 1080, its pathetic that almost no tablets have a resolution comparable.) Personally I love it but there are a few issues. While it can charge other devices by plugging into the C end, most devices don't have a C=C cable included so its not the most convenient to use. the above average aspect ratio also means some apps don't know how to place buttons and so sometimes the buttons or sliders are offset in the app. If you don't know that it can be extremely frustrating but once you know its only a minor annoyance. overall it has a beautiful display, a great battery, and is easily the best way to feel like you're in the future by carrying around a slab of metal

Solid powerful top of the line, but...
This Tablet, was the best tablet that came out in 2016 and until Google came out with their Pixel Slate, was solidly one of the most power machines of this class. I am VERY much an IT power user, I've been working with IT since the late 1970s and am very passionate about the latest gadgets. This was one I very much looked forward to, having used the previous models, (Nexus 7 2012, and Nexus HTC version) The Pxiel C continued where the Nexus HTC left off. It has a larger display, continued to receive the latest updates from Google for the Android software - all the way up to Android Oreo (version 8.1) and was a beast in running my applications.I used this for light travel, to work on documents and spreadsheets with an attached bluetooth keyboard and mouse. You should already know about the programs in the Google Play store, and this runs them all (assuming they are currently updated) and it runs them with as much speed as you could ask for. The Display is incredible.. more pixel density that the iPad for the same year, and just as solidly built (it IS a bit heavier than the older Next weighing in at 1.1 pounds - but consider this IS a larger display, and ALL metal/glass, not a plastic/rubber back on the previous generation - you FEEL the quality)For Games this monster continues to eat up whatever you throw at it. I got the 64gb Wifi version as when I need internet, I have a wifi connection always at the ready, and I can tether my cellphone with unlimited data IF I need to)This was among the first with side facing speakers, so it didn't take up valuable display real estate, and the sound is respectable... not great mind you, but for a tablet, it is good.Facial recognition, Check - it worked, but I'm a bit older school, and just used a finger pattern to unlock my device...To me the facial recognition was just like using a QR scanner... get the right distance...the right angle...etc. Maybe this is cool for you, but not for me - I'm old, and I accept that)NOW THE DEAL BREAKER.I bought mine in mid March 2017 with an extended warranty as recommended by Amazon. I wanted the warranty because about 3 months after my Nexus HTC's warranty expired, power and display issues. I very much baby my electronics..I work on them professionally and know how little it takes to cause real problems. I also know that Tablets are very VERY difficult to service...there's a trade-off in making them so thin and lightweight.Sure enough 2 days after the manufactures warranty expired, Display issues. one half of the display locked and wouldn't function anymore. It started to behave for a day or two, but it was not going to allow me to use it. I called Google directly due to the timing, and they were really great - they had me do basic troubleshooting, as any manufacturer would want to do, (some might feel this is a waste of time, but they DO need to write off user error) The tech I worked with covered only a couple questions as I was able to quickly convey the hardware failure wasn't software based and could not be repaired - they drop-shipped a new tablet in a matter of 3 days (I could have paid for overnight, but I wasn't that put-out) I shipped the old one back and got a notification that it was received.A NICE feature about Android is that it backs up to Google all of the settings, apps, pics, sound files, etc. Everything I had on the old one, once I logged into my Google account and told it to restore. 30 minutes of downloading, and I was right where I Was when the one I bought failed.Fast forward to Late January 2019... The replacement continued until now, and failed in the same EXACT manner. I contacted the extended warranty (Asurion) and they were just as professional, thorough, friendly, polite, empathetic...everything you want that makes good customer service. Right now waiting for the packaging materials to send this one back.In the end, it is a great device. I love it from using it's internal magnets to hold it onto the fridge while I'm cooking (watch videos, or lookup recipes) to chewing through work, it's a good size for me as I have larger hands, but... at $700+ when I bought it...having to replace it twice. That's a tough thing to accept. IF I hadn't bought the extended warranty, I'd be looking at a new tablet. I looked and the bottom of the like Pixel Slate is about $800 (I'd probably look at that still)... The Samsung Tab S4 looks amazing as well at a similar price point, but since this will be repaired, I'll keep using is as it meets and exceeds all of my needs for a tablet. If you manage to acquire one...even though this model is a couple years old... it is still an awesome tablet, while it works.

Outstanding Tablet
Love the Pixel C. My wife, dad and I each have one. It is lightning-fast and I enjoy being first in line for Android updates. If you're looking for maximum "Googliness" in a tablet, you won't be disappointed with the Pixel C. I suggest also purchasing the keyboard/case which the addition of makes this nearly perfect.
