As a beginner I can not think of anything else I need to learn and practice playing with.

Amazing , versatile and best sounding multi effects for the price. Most modern features are here. Only downside is the lack of switches but for what it's worth, it does it's job very well.

Firstly this is built like a tank. Mostly metal with solid knobs. The operating system of the unit is so simple and intuitive to operate, yet with enough options to really dial in a tone that suits you. It's also very stable. I've not noticed any bugs, crashes or other strange behaviour. Nothing of that sort. Out of the box, the patches are OK, but to get the best from this unit, I recommend downloading some decent IRs. There are some free ones that are just superb. The you;'re really on your way to achieving sounds that compete with units costing much more. Also you need the version 2 firmware if you intend to use live particularly and you switch between patches in a song while using effects. This way you can enable the trails on reverbs and delays, so you don't get a nasty glitch as you switch. The built in drum machine is fine for practice/learning. I don't use it. The effects are quite good, but I don't use them in my primary use for this, namely recording. I prefer to add effects in the DAW for more control. Just a couple of gripes. No off switch. The mic placement options don't really seems to do anything. To sum up. I wish this kind of quality was available at such a price when I was first starting to play guitar. You have here an all in one, practice, live and silent recording rig that can achieve very high quality results. It's a no brainer for the money.
