Dylan the Doctor

I bought this for my son Dylan for his 4th birthday. He can read his name now so he got so excited when he opened it and saw his name! He absolutely loves the book, chooses it every night as one of his four stories he wants to have read to him. I think it's a fantastic book too, really great bright, colourful pictures and great characters. I'm hoping they bring out a Dylan the dog teddy, because I know my Dylan would love it.

I can’t judge for myself but my 4 year old twins love it so much! They Incorporated part of the story in their talk... and I didn’t understand... then the nanny told me where this came from! It’s truly vivid for them that they embrace the characters of the stories in their routines! Just sweet

* I have been given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review *I first read this to Little Moore as soon as it popped through our letterbox. He was in a very grumbly mood – possibly teething – but he sat through the whole thing, which I think is a pretty glowing review to start with!Dylan decides he’s going to be a doctor for the day and helps to tend to his friends various ailments. But looking after everyone takes its toll and Dylan’s friends pull together to look after him too.I loved the colours in this book. It was really bright, which I think helped keep Little Moore’s attention. I particularly love the design for Dylan, with his almost crayon-like stripy pattern. It’s a great one to read aloud, especially with the ‘Nee-naw’ of the ambulance, which Little Moore loved.Although I haven’t really used it yet, I loved the idea of Dotty Bug adding extras to the book. She appears on each page and asks little questions to help younger readers join in with the story. I loved this level of interactivity and will definitely use it with Little Moore when he’s older. It’s a great way of involving children and keep them engaged with the story.This is a charming little story with a great cast of colourful characters, and I’d definitely like to read more of Dylan’s adventures soon!

I brought this book for my son Dylan who is 7 years old he really enjoyed reading this book and liked to read the book over and over.

My kids love the fun brightly colored pictures and love to act out the story while reading, with sound effects and all! We read this EVERY NIGHT! I first borrowed it as a library book but soon had to get our own copy as I had reached my limit on renewals!! Great book and lots of fun! My kiddos are 3yrs and 2yrs old.
