Because of arthritis I have found lawn mowers very heavey I am so pleased with this one it’s very light if I had to lift it I could,believe me I have a very large lawn, now I don’t have to do all the work pushing and and struggerling turn it,I can highly recomend this lawn mower to anyone you can easily ajust the hight of the blade there is a good length of cable it leaves the grass neatly cut also an added bonus because it was easy it was quicker,the only down side which only lasted about five minutes was because it was so light I found myself doing a vacumeing motion back and forward so l stopped that quick but it gave me a smile and I am well pleased

I bought this to replace my 13 year old EasiGlide 300 where the bearings had completely gone. They have made a few changes but unfortunately none for the better.The cable is still too short for anything but a very small garden. Luckily I have a longer cable that I can connect to extend it. Why don't flymo have detachable cables that can be of various lengths? They used to have them.Storage is still more difficult as the handle design has been changed so that when it is folded down, it extends more than the length of the flymo body. On the old version, the pivot point for the folding section was higher up so that the metal handle section was shorter.There are still lots of nooks and crannies for grass to get caught in which takes ages to clean out.Although the grass collection works, it doesn't appear to be quite as good as the old version.Apart from that it is very smooth and quiet and was easy to push around and gave a good cut.The motor power has also increased from 1300W to 1700W.I paid £67.99 13 years ago so I think the £101.00 I paid is reasonable.

Brilliant, I only buy flymo for my crazy garden. Glides like a dream. Large garden done in less than one hour. Powerful and effective.

Excellent quality just what I needed flys over the lawn

Despite the five star reviews for this lawnmower, I had to give it only 3 stars out of five. It was easy to set up, but it was really difficult to loosen the blade. The other negative thing is the cord does not detach from the mower and is permanently fixed to the mower, meaning you have to wrap the cord around the mower when it is not in use. The mower cuts really well, through long grass, but is not very good on my uneven front lawn. The grass box is too small and fills up too easily. The mower is quiet and really lightweight. However, it is difficult to clean as the grass keeps getting stuck to the motor, meaning this lawnmower, will not last very long compared to my old mower that lasted 14 years. It will only be a matter of time until the motor gets so clogged it will conk out due to all of the grass, which I think is a design fault.

Bought this as a replace for my 15 year old wheeled lawnmower thinking it would be a lot better. Unfortunately I was completely wrong.Delivered with damage to the underside of the box, which we have photos of, and managed to get to use it for the first time today 6th April.It barely ‘hovers’ and you have to drag it all over the garden with small bits of grass flying everywhere. And then you have the motor, most electrical motors are fairly quiet but on start up you get a squeak and then this thing sounds like a B52 engine as the bomber takes off. With all the minute grass trimmings flying around and the noise it makes, my neighbours were slamming their windows shut all around me.I’ve got a fairly small garden on an incline and my old mower collection box is twice the size and I’d fill it three times doing my lawn. This thing I emptied once as the rest of the cuttings blew over me, my garden and then my neighbours. I even added two of the spacers to make the blades lower so it would make larger grass cuttings so they wouldn’t escape from the collection pocket.My experience is that it’s very noisy, no ‘hover’ so to speak, and it’s built like a child’s toy as the lid to the ‘collection box’ doesn’t clip shut and flaps around, the ‘collection box’ wobbles in its position and allows most of the grass cuttings to escape about 10 feet into the air. Contacting flymo to see if it’s a dodgy one and then I’ll probably return it.I’m going to finish cutting my lawn with the shears now.
