Great blaster! Great value for excellent performance!
Hasbro has definitely stepped their game up over the past few years. Their N-Strike Elite line of nerf guns are in a completely different level from the products they released in the mid-2000s. As an adult (but still a kid at heart), I found the new Retaliator an incredibly effective blaster in the field of nerf combat. Here's a quick breakdown on the vitals: Ergonomics Probably a minor consideration for most people but the Retaliator is a modular design that allows you to adapt it pretty much any size. With a removable barrel extension and stock you can quickly turn it from a "rifle" into a fairly compact pistol or any variation in between. The rear stock is interchangeable with most of the other Nerf stocks and I found this Retaliator works very well with the adjustable stock from the Rampage. Using the Retaliator is relatively easy requiring little effort to pull back the spring mechanism. A younger child can typically rack the slide backwards although 8 years is the recommended age. With moderate effort a warrior can empty the entire magazine by slide firing (holding the trigger and just racking the slide back quickly). Reliability I haven't had any jams after a few weeks of moderate use. Its a nerf gun so at some point you WILL have a jam, but clearing it is pretty easy via the access door, you can reach in and pull out a jammed dart. Range & Accuracy This is the single most important aspect of the Retaliator and like the others in the N-Strike Elite, it delivers! The advertised 75 feet range is aggressive and indicative of an angled shot (like a bow and arrow) but it is achievable. A flat, parallel to the ground (PTG) shot is more in the range of 35-45 feet indoors with no wind. This is more than adequate for most nerf conflicts and at no point was I wishing for more range. Accuracy is good, obviously we're talking about nerf guns, its not like I'm worried about nickel sized groups on a paper target. The darts generally go where you aim and there was limited fishtailing or veering when using the included Elite darts. As darts decay due to use they become gradually less accurate. Overall Highly recommended! At $20ish it is a solid all around nerf blaster that will keep you competitive in any type of engagement and a lot of fun to shoot around the house. The included magazine is decent capacity although this retaliator will take any compatible Nerf magazine so I personally like to pair it with the drum from the Rampage or from some of the older Nerf offerings.

Great fun that even older kids love....refills are cheap and easy to find. Works great even after drops, rain, and rough play!
Great addition to my son's Nerf Gun collection! Since he's 12 years old there are very few things other than riding bike and video games that entertain older kids. I have mostly given up on "toys" even when they're supposed to be for "older kids and pre-teens". But my son asks for whatever the coolest, new model of Nerf Gun is each Christmas. They are a neighborhood favorite and this one is no different. My son really likes that it's easier to use and reload fast (compared to other models he already has) and it accepts the cheaper, basic darts (so he knows I am more willing to replace countless lost darts because replacement refills are cheap and easy to find). The neighborhood kids all ask my son to bring his Nerf Guns out and this one is the most sought after. Size is good, shoots well, doesn't jam, and is durable for older kids running around outside and banging it around. It gets left in the rain and dropped on sidewalks frequently and I've had no problems. There are a lot of modifications kids can do on this gun, as well and according to my son they are "very cool and easy". The rarity of finding an actual "toy" that kids this age will play with AND that gets them outside and active makes this completely worth buying and I am SO relieved that unlike some of the other models, this one has cheap dart refills that won't make you cringe every time your kid comes home with half of the darts he left with. My son and his friends seem to love it, so that means it's a big win for us parents. *I don't usually let him use these indoors, but when testing it out, I always make sure that darts aren't too hard or able to actually knock things over in the house. There is no worry of injury or impending damage to your more delicate household items with this gun and dart-type that I've noticed, so I give it the 5th star for being just "awesome enough", but no heart attacks for parents and sitters. It doesn't hurt to get "shot" by this gun and I'm very cautious about the types I'll allow.*

Llego en el tiempo establecido, en perfectas condiciones, a mi sobrino le encantó, lo único que tiene es que a veces se le atoran un poco las balas, pero es muy fácil sacarlas ya que tiene los compartimientos para poder hacerlo.

Well, I bought this for my nephew and since he went crazy when he opened the package and played with it, I can only say I loved it! :)

This is definitely a staple nerf gun. Out of the box; comes with the blaster, a barrel, a stock, a verical grip, 12 round magazine, and 12 darts. A full set. The blaster itself is already quite powerful on its own. Comfortable grip. The priming mechanism is simple enough and quite easy to pull. Inserting the magazine is very smooth and clicks into place really easily. Very easy to use. Accesories: the barrel is surprisingly useful. Youd expect longer barrels to inhibit performance, but we've found that it actually makes the shots more accurate and have better groupings. I can tell because i was shot both with and without the barrel and found i got hit more with the barrel attached. It's also nice that it attaches to other nerf guns. The stock, although short, helps stabilize the gun itself while shooting. While great for kids, it feels a little odd for "kidults" (dads, youre better off using this as a pistol). The vertical grip is probably my least favourite of the set. I personally found that the blaster is more comfortable to hold without it. But the little ones love it. Its a very complete set worth its price tag. Even more so that it comes with a 12 magazine where others come with a 6 or a 10 size for the same price point or more. The fact that this is a spring gun makes me feel better that i dont have to go out and buy batteries. P.s- for modders, this is an excellent choice for you. Easy modifications with parts very easily found. Surprise your little assassin with a modified version of your own and they'll never see it coming!
