This part fit perfectly into the VW passat and worked. The CEL light went off finally after reset and erase. It was a easy install, remove tire, remove mud cover, and take out Evap, installed this part and everything fit perfect for my 2015 VW Passat TSI 1.8 turbo...

Worked great when replacing the pump. The X6 wasn't listed as a supported vehicle, but I think that is because I had to cut an ear clamp off a hose. I replaced the ear clamp, but you could probably also use a hose clamp. I also didn't need the grommet that was recommended. The pump connected to the charcoal filter with a hose, not a direct connection that uses the grommet. The pump cleared up the check engine light and looked exactly like the OEM Bosch pump. On a side note, the fender trim uses plastic rivets, so I would order some of those and the tool to install the rivets. I tried using an aluminum rivet tool, but that didn't work so good.

This motor is found in the driver side rear of the vehicle. Disconnect battery, Remove wheel liner, disconnect pipes and electrical connector then remove assembly. I had to remove the charcoal canister from the assembly. Then remove three screws and motor comes off. I suggest blowing compress air into the filter to blow the dust out—I wonder if the plugged filter resulted in motor blowing out. You will find years of dirt behind the wheel liner. Great fit, works, no more check engine light.

This is basically the original OEM part, but it’s not BMW. They use the same part numbers, but for much less than buying from the dealer. I had a check engine light, and it threw a code regarding this pump. I found a tutorial on YouTube on how to replace this. It’s fairly easy, however, there are 3 fuel lines that are a pain in the butt to disconnect. However once they come off it’s very easy to replace. Once installed I reset the fault with a OBS computer and the check engine light never came back. This part is fairly useless, mostly for states that require smog checks. You will fail the check if this is not replaced. I live in Florida and we don’t require this check. You can just erase the fault code with an OBS and the check engine light will go away. However I’m keeping my car as clean as possible, this took care of that problem. Here’s a Tip. This pump goes bad if you overfill your gas tank. When adding gas, just fill up until the first pop and stop fueling. I keep reading that overfilling the tank will cause this pump to go bad.

Good part and well-made

Just replaced the original Leak Detection Pump on my 2013 Passat S. This seems to be an exact replacement....However, you DO need a hose clamp, trade size 10 or 12, to replace the one time use clamp on one hose connection... This part is in the right rear wheel well, behind the sound absorbing material, which has to be unscrewed and peeled back after of course, jacking up the car and removing the right rear wheel... The entire assembly comes out-Just disconnect relevant elec connector and hoses that clearly stay in the car... Then unscrew those 2 bolts at the bottom of the assembly...The nuts are captive...so not to worry there....Then once those two bolts are out, just fiddle with the assembly to get it to drop down....There's a plastic flange on the back that slides up into a metal strap mounted to the car...Have to free it from that... Once you do that, then the whole assembly comes out, including the charcoal filter compartment and the LDP and whatever else is there... So it is then super easy to swap out the parts.... FYI-Turned the car on and the code was still on the dash, so I cleared it, drove it a few miles, came back, parked, turned the car off and then started it up again and the CEL came on as normal during start-up, but then went out... IF it comes back with the came P2402 code, I will update this....Let's hope that doesn't happen! SO the original part is a Bosch with part/serial # 0261222027...This is the one that came on the car when it was new...

Initially got a cheapish generic replacement leak detection pump to fix a P0446 solenoid stuck problem on a Mazda3. That generic replacement fixed the P0446 solenoid issue but threw a pending and eventually CEL P2402 which was related to the pump motor. Bought this Bosch version and the P2402 hasn't come back. This seems like a pretty common thing when you check the generic, non Bosch replacements. Even the Dorman 310-601 has one mentioning it threw a P2402. Something I noticed in the Mazda3 service manual and not in other service manuals for other makes this pump is used in is they have a resistance table for one to check the circuit health the pump along side the physical function test. ----------------- Terminal Pins ---- Resistance (ohm) Heater --------------- 4 and 2 ---- 20 to 50 Solenoid ------------- 4 and 3 ---- 26.6 to 32.4 Pump Motor --------- 4 and 1 ---- MAX 118 The Bosch replacement passed the resistance test on the bench at room temperature, whereas the generic replacement had a slightly higher than max resistance on the pump motor which I thought at the time wasn't a big deal and man I was wrong. Don't waste your time getting a generic non Bosch replacement, especially if is for a Mazda3. Getting to the pump on a Mazda3 if you were to follow the service manual you'll have to lower the rear crossmember. Not as simple in a BMW. Note what I bought was an Amazon Resale (formally Amazon Warehouse) like new which looked like only the box got busted up while the bag the pump was in was not cut or torn open.

Functionality: same as on the BMW when i bought it i've had good result w/bosch products before
