Regrettably, the majority of the content of this book is out of date. The six key qualities of a magistrate have changed (there are now five and they're all rather different). The two-interview process has been reduced to one. Most of the information is no longer relevant and details found online are better.

The recruitment for magistrates process has now changed - (2023). I had bought this book for my own preparation. Interview is now one 75 minute long interview (exhausting) and is a competency based interview with lots of 'Can you give us an example where you have...' Scenarios are no longer used.Early part of the book is helpful e.g. why do you want to be a magistrate? but in view of change requires an overhaul.
