Great Little Add-on For Computer
I bought this for two reasons. First, I had only one free USB port left on the back of my computer so I thought this was a good device to give me additional ports. Secondly, in an effort to maintain the security of my backup external hard drive, I was always plugging and unplugging it to keep it off line when not needed. This eventually lead to a problem with me not being able to access that external hard drive. Fortunately, doing some troubleshooting disclosed the problem lay with the connecting cable. I bought a new cable but to minimize the problem in the future, I decided to try this device since it featured individual on/off switches for each port. With that, I could plug in several hard drives and only have them connected when I turned the port on. There was no need to always be plugging and unplugging cables from the USB ports. So far, it has worked just fine.My one negative comment would be that "on" is signified by 1) the button stays down ("off" is up/raised) ; and 2) a blue light comes on and illuminates a thin plastic band around each button that is in the "on".position. Unfortunately, I find the light tends to bleed thru to the other bands that are not "on" so in low light situations, if you forgot which device you were working with or where it was plugged in, you cannot necessarily rely on the light alone to easily find the correct button when it comes time to turn it off. However, this is a small negative. Since I want all the external devices off line at the end of the day, I look to see that there is no blue light showing period.

I really like this Hub
I really like this Hub. If you're looking for one, get this one. It's better than the rest because obviously it's USB 3.0, but the best reason is the really long cord. You need a long cord to be able to plug this up from the back of your pc and have it reach all the way up and sit on your desktop if that's where you are going to place it. The 4 ports are plenty for me. I have a Logitech c930 webcam, a USB headset, and an all in one card reader. They all worked instantly via plug and play and the blue led lights are a nice touch. It doesn't get hot to the touch at all with all 4 ports on and devices plugged in and on. It also has almost a matte rubber finish to it. Not shiny so it's not distracting. Only con I would say was that when I got it one of the buttons wouldn't activate when pressed. I was bummed but, as i'm handy, I opened it up (4 screws) and just took a look and pressed it and it worked. So i put it back together and all is well. Once assembled it's still kinda struggling but I leave that port on all the time anyway as it has my card reader so no biggie.

Cannot power a USB 3.0 enclosure with SSD drive
This hub works to power and access USB 2.0 'thumb' flash drives. Such drives enumerate and are usable. However, it cannot work with a USB 3.0 based drive SATA enclosure with SATA SSD. Tested several enclosures and SSDs.All enclosure and SSD combinations enumerated and worked successfully when plugged directly into motherboard USB 3.0 ports. All combinations failed to enumerate when used via this hub. All testing was done with only 1 port of this hub occupied or powered to eliminate power draw from any other devices. All SSDs tested consume less than the 900mA @ 5V allowed by USB 3.0. So this hub cannot actually deliver the 900mA @ 5V that it must to be USB 3.0 compliant.

Decent USB hub, lights are just bright enough. Cord is not long though.
Good USB hub. The buttons are handy for turning items on and off, rather handy for plugging in charging cords and Flash Drives. The LED lights are not very bright, but that is a good thing in low light places. The cord is longer than many hubs, though still not long. But when plugged into the USB 2.0 jacks instead of 3.0, for some reason it slows my computer very noticeably! When plugged into 3.0 jack it's great. This is plugged into the upper end of the back of my full tower case and long enough to reach the top of the table it sits under with maybe a foot to spare. I also bought a plain 36 inch USB extension cable for more reach. The extension does NOT have to be specifically for USB3.0 to work. An extension is just wires, any extension will work.

Aocome 4 Port Mini USB 3.0 Hub with Individual power Switches saved my day
Aocome 4 Port Mini USB 3.0 Hub with Individual power switches is a marvel in itself. I works flawlessly and provides access to four USB3.0 nodes to provide access when the working computer needs assess to more than what is available. The 4 Port Mini USB3.0 Hub allows for extra nodes when needed and can be powered off by simply using the individual power switches. In my case, I needed more than what my computer has, so the Aocome 4 Port Mini USB 3.0 Hub came to my rescue. I used the nodes I needed, then turned them off until I need them again. I do use two nodes and keep them plugged into the Mini Hub. When I need those nodes, I simply switch it on, and continue my tasks. Works great and I am excited about how the item works. I would recommend this item to anyone.

Good, for a short time.
I have an issue with overloading (I guess). Noticed it when I played some games with headphone (the headphone is connected through external soundcard adapter that is connected to the hub). The sound of the headphone sometimes crackling but when i switched it off and on, the noise disappeared, and reappeared back after a while. not only that, whenever my headphone produced crackling noises, my RGB keyboard seems to be crazy with all random colors and patterns. I suspect it have something to do with overloading. I tried to connect my soundcard to my PC directly, but, not a problem. Things that I am currently connecting to the hub are ( Corsair Mechanical RGB keyboard along with the Passthrough usb cable, external soundcard, and gaming mouse. I am 100% sure it has nothing to do with my PC ports ( Could be wrong ). I tried everything to plug it in directly to my pc, again, not a problem.
