Not impressed
It's true you pay for what you get. This does not work that well at all. It's hard to charge it then it doesn't stay charged for very long. The apps take forever to open if you can get them to open. Very cheaply made. I thought I wouldn't spend very much for my 6 year old grandson until he can take better care of his things but even this isn't a very good product.

It is junk. The charger that came with it is junk. The battery does not hold a charge for long at all. It lasted just over the 30 day mark, and was used minimal.... Just junk !

Only thing I don't like is the fact that the only case I could find available for it is the one that comes with and it's not that great only because of it having a keyboard and is bulky buy for some the key I'm sure will a plus just not for me.

The function of it once set up was fine, but it has only been 5 months and it will no longer charge. the cable that came with it has to be held in in order for the tablet to charge. But after 2 mins of that and no change in battery power, I stop. I bought a new charging cable, that worked for a couple months and now has to be held in the tablet in order for the tablet to charge. But once again after a couple of mins and no positive charge change, I got over it. Bought a new tablet from another company and it works just fine. I did try their cable on the VisualLand tablet...no go. What is wrong with Visual Land's stuff??

I like it just fine
As an iconic national electronics chain was downsizing about two years ago, this visual land 8QS was purchased for a good bit less than a hundred bucks. Intended primarily as a reader, it was something of an impulse buy but turns out it performs surprisingly well. Battery life is fine, screen is good even from an angle, processor is faster than I expected. I didn't intend to use the camera(s) but they're OK for a Skype call. Frankly, when folks hold up their tablet at an event to snap a pic (or to show it off) I think it just looks silly. Apps open quickly and no issues, WiFi is strong as is Bluetooth, Screen is responsive and I'm a fan of the Swype - style keyboard which inputs very well. Two years in, I'm glad I purchased it. The only issue is the speakers, which are stereo and adequate but not remarkable, emit a brief, barely audible static sound when starting a multi-task while in a primary music mode. I didn't even notice it for a couple weeks. It only lasts a second then goes completely away, but is evident of maybe bleed in the sound circuitry or something isn't sufficiently shielded, but the sound is quite good with headphones. If not for this minor annoyance I'd give it five stars based on price and my expectations at that price. After two years, I'm satisfied and still use it at least every morning.
