what is the actual thread size that they screw onto?

One of the caps has 5/16-24 threads and the other has 3/8-24 threads.

When I installed, the water spray out from the small hole. What’s the problem?

The purpose for the small hole is to vent the valve if needed. The drain cap will fit most valves with a drain port opening. Please call our Customer Service team at 877-531-7470 so we may assist you further with this.

Do these drain cap have a piece of rubber like piece that sets on the bottom? This is for my rain on my water sprinkler system.
