My elderly mother is bedridden now, and as a result she can no longer go to her favorite place: Pechanga Casino. We used to go there often, spending hours playing the slot machines. Even though her luck on them usually wasn't very good, she loved going there and playing anyway. For Christmas I thought I'd find a slot machine she could play in bed. She has a hospital-type bed table and I needed something that would fit on that. I looked at tons of slot machines on Amazon before deciding on this one. For one thing its dimensions, 15" x 4.5" x 10.5", were bigger than others I'd seen. Most were very small. I understand that they're really banks but, still, I didn't want a LITTLE one. Yet it's not too big--it fits easily on her bed table. Also, this actually pays out! Coins you've inserted spill out into the tray when you hit matching symbols. The sounds are authentic, like when you pull the arm and the wheels are spinning, and when you hit a jackpot the red light on top flashes and there are sound effects, too. The slot machine requires two AA batteries (not included), but they're only necessary for lighting up the red light. The machine itself is purely mechanical and needs no power source to operate. The old-fashioned arm is a nice touch. It reminds my mom of playing slot machines in the days before they were all electronic with buttons instead of an arm. My mom couldn't be happier--she's like a little kid enthralled with their favorite new toy they got for Christmas. She plays it day and night.

its like buying a toy for Christmas play with it one day, then its not operating right the next day, you ask your self why? I paid good money 4 it then you go over it with a fine tooth comb you realize its Junk!! cheaply made

I like that this machine no only has the eagle, liberty bell, and Uncle Sam, but also the traditional bars and cherries. A fun machine that is different from others.

The bank is actually in the back, separate from the front slot. You don't have to put money in the front to pull the arm. When you do pull it, it sounds cheap. Not sure how long it will hold up. For the money I paid I was expecting something a little better made.
