This VR is very cheap quality. It costs ₹2500, but there is nothing special in it. They give one remote, but it only works to make sound up or down on the phone. Nothing else. The lens quality is same like the ₹500 VR box. No difference at all. The 3D VR games are very bad. The graphics look like old games from 2008–2009. The overall experience is same as a ₹500 VR. So paying more money is waste. Also, for watching videos, they ask for extra subscription of ₹200. They say it will show brighter video, but the video quality is still very bad. Final: It is not worth of 2500 rs .

Hello friends Today I am writing the review of IRUSU MONSTER VR - with Bluetooth Remote controller. Link - http://amzn.to/2nchptb I will try to give my user feedback and the experience I had with this VR. I will also be comparing it with Irusu’s other VR product. And I want to say that all pictures related to this product are provided below, please have a look at them also and try to relate it to the review. And I also want to mention that I have a video of the same product on my YouTube channel “Worth It”, you can get my channel link in my profile (and you can reach there by tapping my name highlighted in blue color above or below this review). I would suggest you use the desktop version for this as you might not see my YouTube channel link on my profile in the mobile version or the app version. I ordered this product on 25th December 2k16 and received it on 29th December 2k16. Packaging from Amazon was good was nicely filled with air pouches, and was on time as mentioned. Now coming to the actual product packaging from Irusu, It was in good condition and the VR was a nicely bubbled wrap package. Now let’s see what we get inside the box - INSIDE THE BOX - ---------------------------------------- 1. VR and its user guide 2. Bluetooth remote controller with its user guide 3. Magnetic clicker 4. A wiping cloth 5. 3M tape strips 6. A Thank you cum Viewer Profile Card BUILD QUALITY VR – ---------------------- You can actually put any phone from 4 to 5.9 inch easily and I think you can put more than that as there is enough spacing. Ok, so the build Quality was good if I talk about in hand feel. The Whole body is made of plastic, except the cushioning where your skull or part near the eyes rest, it is made with some synthetic cloth material and if you plan on using the VR for extended use it won’t be an issue. The front part of the VR which comes off for ventilation or cooling of the phone is attachable with the body via 2 small magnets on the both ends. Now coming to the strap which attaches the VR and your head is 3-way straps, one from right, left and one from the top or you can say circulating your head and one top strap for stability. Where some VR’s outside have 2-way straps, i.e. is circulating from left and right only. And I also want to mention that the straps are stretchable so that you can get a good fitting. And you can also adjust its length as it is attached with a Velcro strap with the VR. Now coming to lenses, the monster VR has the biggest 42mm HD resin lenses and due to their larger sizes, you won’t feel that cardboard effect which we get on other VRs. You can adjust the lenses via two ways. 1. IPD - Interpupillary distance – where you can adjust the distance between the lenses. You get 1 scroll wheel for this. 2. Focal Adjustment – with this you can control screen to the lens distance. You actually get 2 scroll wheels for individual lens adjustment. This is an upgrade from the PLAYVR by Irusu where you get actually 1 scroll wheel. It is actually beneficial for people who have any eye defect like myopia in a particular eye. Now the place where you place your phone is the place which I don’t like, as it accidently presses the volume rocker keys or the power key. And you can definitely put your headphones or earphones in 3.5 mm jack (or USB type C if present) as there is a particular opening for that on both sides so that you can put the sound/music directly to your ears. You also get enough spacing for your nose, there is actually a nice nose cut section for that, and you won’t feel any breathing problem also. REMOTE CONTROLLER – -------------------------------------------------- First of all, I want to tell you that there is not a lot of content present out there which you can control via a Bluetooth controller. And it’s a nice gesture by Irusu that they have sent this to you within the same package where at the same price you get only a VR headset. Now coming to the build quality, the controller is completely made with plastic (which is not better than the VR) I want to say that it’s ok. Not as good as the VR. And you should handle this with a little more care than the VR. I also want to say that I have seen some videos on YouTube on Irsus Monster VR and in some videos, they have a different controller with the same product, I think Irusu is finding a perfect controller for the user and it might change or may not in your case. I was able to configure it and use it and it was a hand free experience and made the VR experience a lot better. If you want to know how to use this or configure the controller watch my video. Magnetic Clicker – ----------------------------------- The magnetic clicker is nice and big in size. And the quality is also good. And I want to mention that I personally couldn’t find a spot where to stick it on the VR, and hence was not able to use it. On YouTube, there are videos where they have placed it somewhere in some videos and in some videos they have placed it somewhere else. Viewer Profile card – --------------------------------------- With this card, you can calibrate your VR with the app. Now, what does that mean? That means that it adjusts the VR content with your VR design. As there are a lot of manufacturers out there, so these types of viewer profile card adjust the content accordingly to your particular VR. You can use or adjust this via the Irusu’s own app “Irusu VR zone” or in the “Cardboard” app by Google Inc. Other Items – --------------------------- The cloth is of good quality and similar to what you get when you buy your spectacles. It’s a good and a nice thought by Irusu because it helps to clean the lenses which are the most important thing in the VR itself, and you won’t have to think of using any other cloth. 3M tape strips are also present but I don’t know what they actually do Now let’s look at some PROS and CONS – PROS – ------------------ 1. The particular lens to screen or focal length adjustment for each lens is a very useful and innovative thing as myopic people can also wear and experience virtual reality now. 2. The Bluetooth controller is an add-on in the same price where in you get a VR in the same price segment. 3. Biggest lenses – 42mm HD resin lenses. 4. 3-way strap. The head strap is big and helps in maintaining stability. 5. Good Ventilation area for phone heating issues. 6. Good space for earphone and headphone jack insertion. 7. The place where your phone is rested, actually where your phone’s screen is rested, is some fabric and it won’t scratch your phone. CONS - ----------------- 1. The biggest flaw is the clip or holder where the phone is placed as it accidently presses the volume rocker or the power button and it’s really annoying sometimes. Secondly, the holder is very tight and not made of that great plastic, and there is always a doubt in mind that it may break accidently. 2. The product is bulky I would say as it weighs 300+ grams and nowadays mobile phones are more than 150 grams so you are putting nearly around ½ kg weight on your head, and it is noticeable as you wear the headset. 3. The Bluetooth controller could have been of better quality. Tips – -------------- - I would say the better the screen like FULL HD the better the experience, HD is ok but not as good as FULL HD and 4K would be amazing, but for that, you need a Sony Xperia Z5 premium or may be a Samsung S8. - The bigger the screen the bigger the view field, the better the experience. - The better the display technology, like AMOLED the better the viewing experience. I have used a cheap Chinese VR, my friend has a Procus VR, and I am using this VR from Yesterday. So here is my review: Pros: - First of all I am impressed with the build quality. It looks premium, feels premium. - The strap has plastic support over the head and behind the head. The plastic supports are cotton padded. This is quite unique and I am loving it. Straps are adjustable from all the sides. Even the side straps contain elastic, so adjustment required is minimal. 5/5 - Lightweight compared to other VRs. - Front removable window actually snaps to VR. Thanks to the little magnets there. - You can't expect better lens quality in this price. The Lens position is adjustable. - This one uses a button to trigger your screen instead of magnetic clicker. So, phones that doesn't have magnetic sensor can use this one. - The Bluetooth remote is a piece of beauty. It works fine in all the three modes on my android mobile and windows laptop. I have played some awesome VR games with this remote. Cons: - The only complain about this product is the phone holder. I feel I would break the holder clamps if I am not careful while inserting/removing my phone. Suggestion to Irusu: Make the phone holder more robust. I wear a spect (-0.75 both eyes) and it seems if the lenses were more closer to my eyes, I would have a sharper view. So, little more lens adjustment needed for the people with imperfect vision. And I got two little black screws attached to one magnet. I was scared thinking if there was any missing screw. Then I examined whole product and confirmed that no screw was missing!! A little more attention required on quality control. The VR QR code should be printed and attached with the VR itself. I have to look for the extra card whenever I use another phone. Suggestion to other buyers: I have seen so many reports that the remote isn't working properly. Read the remote user manual properly. 80-90% vr apps doesn't support Bluetooth controller. You can calibrate the remote with vr games (which requires a controller) and you'll be good to go. Some users reported "the sides of the videos distort": You have to download Google cardboard app and scan the VR QR so that your phone gets actual lens info and adjust display accordingly. Felt strain in my eyes: Every VR headset has this problem. You have to take a break every 30 min, otherwise go for Oculus/Daydream. Conclusion: Recommended for buying, Worth the money

PHYSICAL FEATURES : ------------------------------- # Has Clip-on mechanism to lock the cover & Elastic Holder to hold the phone. # Has 3 Dials on the Top to adjust the vision. # Has Removable & Adjustable Straps. # Also it has 2 way holding mechanism i.e. horizontal Head-strap and Single Head Band. * These are Adjustable and sufficiently Padded. # It has approx. 2 cm cavity on both the side for connecting various wires to Phone. REMOTE CONTROL : ----------------------------- # Its very simple to connect and remote connects to both Android & iOS. @ Just PRESS & HOLD respective buttons for 3-5 secs to pair with respective device. # In Android once paired press the cursor button for activating Cursor in Android. # Joystick provided is Perfect and have sufficient stiffness & Feedback. # Size of Remote is compact and has good Grip. # Its great with Android devices and Easy to use. # It can also be used for NORMAL activities like clicking Selfies, and other accessibility. Remote Control in iOS : ------------------------------ # In Music App---> press the Android button of remote. Now the music can be controlled via Remote. * With android and iOS buttons Volume can be controlled. # Similar is the working with Video App. USABILITY : --------------- # First of all it can be used for watching 3D movies. * They have to be 2 sided 3D movies, NOT Overlapped. # Works great with 360 degree videos. # Works fine with VR games using Joystick. * This has few limitation. # Directly watch the compatible videos from Youtube or other online sources as well. CUSTOMER CARE : -------------------------- # I must say that the Customer Care of Irusu is quite exceptional. # I had issues with Remote Control use and I contacted them via details given in Manual and I got my Solution in Few hours. # There is 3 Months of Warranty with Headset. Cons : ------- Only con that I found is Remote Control compatibility issue with iOS, hope this is Fixed soon. Rest there's nothing to complain about. ( I will update if any issue arises ) VERDICT : Considering the quality, the features, comfort and Usability, its so far the Best VR set that I have used. For the given price its Value for Money product. I HIGHLY Recommend this Product.

Please don’t waste your money on this product. I wanted to give zero stars but I’m forced to give one. It’s not refundable, and please note that it doesn’t work on YouTube or most major sites. It’s an absolutely useless product. If the seller sees my comment, please refund my money and take back your bad product, I’ll delete the comment after that.
