Absolutely worth the money
As an avid reader and a fan of Mitch Albom’s books, this book just broke something inside me. I was immediately immersed into the young and amazing life of Chika, her intelligence, tantrums and just her will to live made me love her more and I so becalmed attached to the beautiful angel she was. It’s definitely not a light read but I would highly recommend all of you to read it as it portrays a beautiful relationship between parents and their kids. Also it’s a hardcover book, so a plus point.

Story of a young and a strong girl Chika
"Finding Chika" is the story about young girl from Haiti who became part of Mitch 's family . Infact the book is the story about Mitch, his wife and Chika. A story about a strong family. Story about being a parent. Story about a strong and an innocent child. Story about fighting the battle of terminal illness for a 5 year old child Chika .Book is beautifully weaved in terms of conversations of author with Chika who seems to be talking to him even after the death. These are the feelings that actually talk. And yes and are these feelings that are crafted in the book.Chika born in Haiti was brought to his orphanage and was diagnosed of the terminal illness .that's where Mitch and his wife adopted her to bring to US for treatment. The story then rolls from her brutal treatment ,her so called recovery ,her response and finally even searching for a place to bury before she is gone. How brutal that is !!!!!! .The most important the book talks about the bonding developed between Mitch , his wife and Chika. The parenting love can be clearly visible in various illustrations given. The tough decisions the parents need to take to get a sick child cured, their strength towards the innocence of the child and their beliefs of every treatment being a hope , yes the Hope how vital it is at times . And finally letting your love go away from you for ever. How hard it is!!!!.In short the book is bag full of emotions ,family bonding , happiness ,hope ,learnings and yes tears.

One of the best, heart-wrenching reads 💌
This is a story about adoption, battling cancer, death and grief. But this is also a book about goodness, hope, humanity, life lessons and found families.Reading this book was really difficult. It's heartbreaking and I took my time. So many times I had to close the book in between because it was so hard to digest my own emotions and come to terms with the fact that I was going to lose Chika page after page and grief all over again until the book ended. The writing is filled with memories and gratitude even when it's filled with the struggles of the family.Mitch Albom's writing is beautiful and eye-opening. There are parts of Tuesdays with Morrie in this book as well. I love it as well.A good book but please take your time while reading it. This book requires a certain time to read when you are ready for such books. And yes, the world is still full of amazing people. Do not believe otherwise.

The most touching story I have ever read!
This is a beautiful story of “family”, love, heartbreak, and faith. You never want to put it down, even though you know how it will end. It is heartwarming and uplifting while sad and heartbreaking. It is so well written. I would recommend to all adults who understand you don’t have to give birth to a child to know the love of a child. Beautiful and touching.

Delightful story on how adoption can change your life
I’m fan of Mitch albom’s books and this one didn’t disappoint me. Very touching story of how little child can change a person’s view at the world.Book itself gets 5 out of 5 in overallBut I believe It deserves 4/5 compared to other of his writings. I think other books were even more emotionally in depth and poetical in a way.

Excellent book…just beautiful.
There was nothing I didn’t like about this book.It is an absolutely beautiful, well-written human story. Never mawkish, but brings tears to the eyes because of the emotional honesty, the sadness, the love that is conveyed.Of course, reading it, you are wishing this lovely child had not died; but that is the whole point…it exists because she did die. Her illness was not survivable. This book changes you, if you allow it to, as I have found with so much of this author’s writing.
