Excellent quality product.
The frame arrived on time and was well packaged. Having noted that some reviews reported poor quality and poor finish it was decided to purchase it due to it design being exactly what was needed. To remove any doubt for potential purchasers the product as received is well designed, made from quality wood and is well finished. There is one item that is plastic, the height adjustment clamp screw. All other screwed fittings have metal threaded inserts into which metal screws fit. In summary. Well made, well designed and moderately priced.

Game changer
This bit of kit is a game changer for cross stitching, it has improved my posture, I can see the holes in the material much better, it's multiple adjustable, definitely noticed there is a lot less knotting of thread and my hand no longer aches holding the frame and I use 1 hand underneath for downward stitches and other hand for upward stitches and no more catching thread on screw that holds the frames together. If you work on cross stitch or embroidery or similar you need this in your life, it's is reasonably priced and easily assembled, but for what it gives you is priceless. I can't recommend highly enough. Top tip is if your fabric is quite large gently roll it up and use clothes pegs to clip to the frame so you don't have loads of fabric draping getting in the way of the thread being stiched.

Great kit
Bought to replace one that was lost by a family member during move. Great for smaller pieces of work

Functions superbly.
It was easy to build. Fully adjustable. Excellent quality. Has transformed my embroidery technique making it so much more relaxing. I sit on a thin foam garden chair cushion and tuck the wooden base of the frame underneath for comfort.

Overall good, with a few caveats.
Positives: Item is reasonably good quality for the cost, and fairly easy to assemble. The clamp holds a “standard” depth wooden hoop well. Functions as intended both as a desk stand and as a seat stand. Negatives: The most glaring issue is that the wood is almost entirely unfinished; it may have been sanded some on the smooth, flat planes but it is very obvious in the curves and corners of the item that it has not fully been treated. obtained a few small splinters during assembly so would advise any buyer to double check and sand or treat the parts before taking it on themselves. Height adjustment is difficult due to a very tight fit and the unfinished wood making it hard-to-impossible to screw in the lock. In summary: does the job, but could do with a little more attention to the end user’s comfort.

Concept's good, but not really fit for use without some changes.
I should have read the one-star reviews! Usually they're the only reviews I find worth reading. The concept of this hoop-holder seemed a good one, but sorry, there's so much about the execution of the idea that just doesn't work. [1] The whole item comes as bare wood. Everything needs sealing or waxing before assembly; [2] The main column won't tighten to fit square onto the plinth (see pic); [3] The pole that fits into the main column is held with a plastic (plastic!!) screw whose thread doesn't quite match with the column's thread (another pic). Eventually the column's thread will strip; [4] The clamp for holding the stitching hoop is poorly aligned, exceedingly stiff, and will not open to fit/release the hoop unless completely dismantled; [5] A metal washer is needed to prevent the clamp's tightening bolt from binding against the clamp; [6] The holder can only be used as a" tuck-under-the-leg" frame. The narrow base makes it too unstable for use as a tabletop frame unless clamped, and too high anyway. This was intended as a gift for my beloved wife. But I'm having to return it.

Cross stitch frame 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
A really handy piece of kit for cross stitch. It’s a stable frame and hold the hoop well with good tension
