What to know
Gave it as a bday gift. He loves it. Shows it off a lot. He is super thrilled with it. Works great. It's sharp right out of the box.

Really easy to sharpen
Its really easy to sharpen and it stays sharp, but I noticed that mine had a couple marks on the red lines and they wont come off. But other than that its a really good knife for the price. I would recommend it.

Good, inexpensive knife
I've owned, loved and used knives my entire life. Knives are a functional tool to me and IMOP, there are 4 categories of knives.1. Cheap junk like you might buy for a dollar or two at a gas station or parts store.2. Inexpensive decent, you can get these at many places like cabelas or walmart.3. Good but a bit pricey, likely found at places like cabelas or other outdoor outlets.4. Overly expensive and more of a piece of art that you likely won't ever use due to its value (custom made)To me, the MTECH knives are a good, inexpensive knife. You likely aren't buying a premium blade but they will sharpen and do the trick just fine. The quality is decent and they will hold up just fine for the average user. These knives have some decent heft to them and feel sturdy. The action is a bit sub-par on many of these knives at this price point but you're getting what you paid for. These aren't what I'd consider crappy knives and yet they're not on the same level as Benchmade, Spyderco or even Buck for that matter but they are a good knife for the money.

2nd purchase, A++++
My son got this for Father's Day a few years back and it was the best knife I've ever had, used it for everything and more compliments than I can even count. I lost it at work, so my wife bought my another one. I love this knife!
