Star Wars The Clone Wars Monopoly

I purchased this game for my daughter who is a huge Clone Wars fan. It arrived last night and we played it right away. The money are 'Republic credits' with clones on them. They are the same denominations and colors as regular monopoly. The game pieces are fantastic. There is Rex (of course), Anakin, Osaka, Obi Wan, General Grevious and Assaj. There are 'settlements' & 'cities' to replace the houses and hotels from the original. The property colors are the same in the same order, replaced with Star Wars names like Teth and Abergado. There are Jedi & Sith cards to replace Community Chest & Chance.There are special rules you can play by: Light Side vs. Dark Side. You need the rule book out until you play a few times to follow these rules. Like, if you roll a 6 on one die, the other die tells you what to do. You can get properties for free, take another turn or get credits from the bank. The character you chose to play with determines the Light Side or Dark Side rules, which is why I say to keep the book handy until you remember all the rules.It is a fun twist on the original game and with all the Clone Wars references and optional rules, it makes for a more interesting and fun game.The tray that came in the game is not like the original where you can lay out the money for the banker with a spot for the properties. That is really the only complaint I had when setting up the game and it didn't interfere with the game play at all.

Our family loves Monopoly, and we love Star Wars. We have the 40th Anniversary Special Edition and it’s fun but wow, this one has special Star Wars rules, and the adults and kids LOVE it! It’s sooo much fun to play. Get the traditional one, as we did, BUT get this Clone Wars edition, too, because it takes the playing to a higher level. We truly love this one, as we do the other one, but when this one comes out of the box, we ALL put our boxing gloves on, because it’s that much fun! READ THE RULES. That’s a must. Sometimes we want to play a shorter game, and this has two ways to do that. What great family fun for all ages to play TOGETHER. Just love it!

This is a fun version that my kids like more than the original so we play more and that's all I care about. I have no idea what most of the properties are or how to pronounce the names of half of them and it doesn't seem like too much thought or creativity went into it, but the figure pieces are fantastic. Large, heavy, high quality, and the light sabers which I thought would probably break off quickly when I bought it are very strong and seem like they will last forever. Super happy with the game pieces and everything else is fine too.

bought this from a store but figured i would let you all as know about it. its a faster pace monopoly game which is great for the younger kids in my household but still very fun. The have introduced cards that you can play at any time which changes the complexity of the gameas. no more houses or hotels to mess with and now if you simply buy all the property on a world the price doubles. the cash (credits) is also simplified in this version and uses less bills (10,20,50,100,& 500). but the bestas improvement i think is the team aspect. itds now more of jedi vs sith (empire vs Rebels). this added quite a bit of fun but also strategy for my kids. the tokens are a little cheap and the cash is to small, but overall i highly recommend this game!!

I bought one for my 8-year old son and one for my 7-year old nephew. We play it all the time. The boys love the different characters and features (like Republic "credits" instead of dollars)and it really shows off their math skills. The instruction booklet gives several different play options beyond regular monopoly, all revolving around either a Jedi or Sith theme, which I think will intrigue the boys as they get older and don't need Mom to play along as much. We just play straight-up monopoly right now. One caveat: although the booklet gives you the basic overview of standard monolopy, a few things are missing altogether (like the Free Parking kitty) and some of the finer rules. So, if you aren't up to speed on your Monopoly rules, you might need further information.

We love it. Almost just like the original but with SW: Clone Wars motif. They've made a few minor changes to make it a bit more interesting with the SW theme. Overall great experience and a lot of fun playing with the family.

Everything was perfect. A great gift for a family member or friend. That love all things star wars

This was a gift for my 11year old daughter last year. She is Star Wars crazy and a collector of Monopoly board games, so this was PERFECT! It comes with amazing Clone War figures, and the board is fun. Both my kids love playing it and of course, counting the money has been great learning for my 8yr old son. Recommend for anyone who likes games and Star Wars!
