will this unit work if by bios is dead or corrupted ?

Does this work with pci-express?

No. This card is for 8 bit ISA legacy expansion slots and PCI expansion slots. It does not support PCI express expansion slots.

Will this work in a tandy 1000 8-bit isa slot from 1987?

I believe that it should depending on which model of the Tandy 1000 you have. There were several different models of the Tandy 1000. Most had 8 bit ISA expansion slots. Some of the later models had a couple of 16 bit slots. Some of the early models had 8 bit expansion slots they called Plus expansion slots, which is said to be electrically the same as an 8 bit ISA slot. I can not verify with absolute certainty that this is accurate, but a quick Google search of your specific model of Tandy 1000 should provide the necessary information for you to confirm which type of expansion slot your machine has. If your machine has an 8 bit ISA expansion slot this card should work for you. Best of luck!
