Things to Consider When Deciding
The section on logical fallacies may be worth the price of this book alone. All of us fall victim to these thinking patterns at times, and it would do us good to review these regularly. This book gives a concise, clear summary of each of these common sense ideas. His section on mental models was not as easy to read. Most were brief and read more like individual dictionary entries in random order. The section on cognitive bias was misleading due to the author’s religious bias (stoicism and evolution).Documentation of supporting sources is inconsistent, ranging from none to Wikipedia to a few plausible sources.

Think!
Edblad calls us to actually use the brain when deciding. Too many of us use our biases and logical fallacies. Good processing helps good decision-making. Decide to read this book because it can help you!

Nice to see how decisions are made.
This book condenses the methods humans use to make decisions very well. As one reads it, you will recognize the way many of the decisions you make are done. It does not help to make a better decision, but it should make one stop and think about how they are arriving at the decision they make. Are you really making an informed decision, or are you following the herd. I think many people follow the herd, or the media, or an influencer, and not thinking for themselves. I don't expect those people to read this book, but it may provide questions you can ask to find out why someone came to the decision or belief they have. The topics can be taken is short bite-size pieces which I appreciate. I feel every high school and college student should read this book so they don't get sucked up into the vortex of group think. Independent thought is not independent when everyone believes the same thing and don't know why.

A useful summary of why many decisions are not rational
There have been a plethora of books over the past few years exploring the range of cognitive biases and fundamental flaws in our thinking and decision-making processes, many of which are rather long-winded and convoluted. However, this is not the case with Mr. Edblad's contribution. This book provides a welcome summary overview of some of the most common flaws in our thinking which inhibit sound decision making. I enjoyed reading Mr. Edblad's simple guide and it has improved my understanding of why some of my views and decisions are far from rational.
