Do not buy!Bought to flare some brake lines, but as it was a Sunday afternoon no where was open and needing it in a rush ordered this, looks similar to the halfords one (also a similar price) but when it arrived on Monday it was clear it's cheaply made. The sizing is completely off you can't make a proper flare, the 3/16 clamp is far to big to hold the pipe and if you try and clamp it in the next smallest size it won't make a suitable flare.Have used this type before without problems. Please do not buy this.

Excellent for steel or copper line
This is a good quality/value kit for the occasional user. It did what I needed it to do, but I'm a hobbyist. This tool worked very well on steel (factory) line and Copper/Cupronickel Brake Line Tubing. Do Not purchase this for stainless steel line. It will not work. Stainless Steel line requires professional tools...... Don't ask me how I know this.

Works great after a slight modification.
The set works very well after I made a small modification to the fit of the mateing surfaces. The tool could not be used for a double fare until I filed the fitted surfaces to gain clearance to lock the mandrel to the flar rail.It works great now and is a solid fit.

A brake line necessity
High value low cost. I checked out a dozen different types of flair kit and this was the most "affordable". Worth the cost to make sure you get that "perfect flair". Albeit, the 4lifetimelines nickle copper stuff is a bit soft so don't always flair completely concentric in shape.WATCH a flailing video on this. The anvils are important and I didn't comprehend that at first

You get what you pay for if you do a lot of flaring don’t expect it to last
You get what you pay for if you do a lot of flaring don’t expect it to last . It works well on soft metal do not bother trying it on stainless. The jig that clamps the pipe in place is already losing its grip don’t expect it to last
