Keeps itself, you and your equipment clean
This is a really nice mini-grease gun, but then again you would expect it to be for the price. That said, I do not regret spending the extra because this one has three really nice features you'll come to appreciate as much as I do: First, it has the locking connector that locks onto the grease fitting ("zerk") you're trying to pump grease into and holds it there, so there's absolutely zero worry about it slipping off just in time for you to pump a string of grease onto your 1) floor, 2) shirt or 3) face. Secondly, it has a swivel fitting for the hose, so regardless of how you have to orient the gun itself or the connector, you don't have to fight the hose twisting up; it just effortlessly orients itself to accommodate you, instead of you having to figure out how to get it where it needs to go. Lastly, they expect you to keep this gun for a long time, so they include a rebuild-kit with new seals to install once the originals give up the ghost, which even with constant use probably wouldn't be for at least 5 years, but it's still a nice touch. Yes, it's a premium tool with a premium price, but if you're anything like me you'll appreciate the quality and thank yourself every time you use it. Highly recommended.

Nice tool - works well
I have had several different models of this small grease gun. All of them were messy to use and load. All of them ended up not working because the tips would get bent or damages and no longer stay on a grease fitting. This grease gun fixes all of that. When you pull the plunger out, you don't have to hope it stays locked into the little notch - this one has a spring loaded piece that turns sideways and securely locks the plunger open. "Un-thread the pump head a few turns and air will not get trapped. Even better, air will escape but grease will not squirt out. The best feature is the locking tip. It stays tight on a fitting and does not leak. Just like other reviewers say - you do not have to over-tighten the hose. Thread it by hand and use a wrench to go about 1 1/2 turn tighter and you are good - it will not leak. Same with the tip.

Works as Advertised
Works as advertised; had an issue with priming but followed the included instructions to resolve.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY THIS AEROSPACE ENGINEER
I seldom do reviews. Typically they are either 1 or 5 starts to warrant my time. I am an aerospace engineer and the application was my Jon boat trailer which has Bearing Buddies installed on the hubs. The instructions were very clear and complete and were NOT in Chinglish. They were in plain English and included very helpful diagrams. I purchased the "Mini Grease Gun Kit" Model LNL 156. If you follow the instructions and you should be pleased with the outcome. Special attention to the purging operation (covered in the instructions) which requires slightly unscrewing the barrel to expel the trapped air after installing the min-cartridge. This was essential in my experience. Best of all, there was no mess as I have experienced with inferior products. The LockNLube Coupler was marvelous. This gets a full 5 stars.

Good product, but not compatible with Lucas Oil grease tubes
Lucas Oil 3 oz. grease tubes wouldn’t fit into the barrel, so I sent an email of complaint to Lock ‘n Lube customer support. The customer service rep surmised that my Lucas Oil tubes were a little too thick to load into the gun, and offered to send me three tubes of AiRTEC G200EP grease. That did the trick! I was able to load the tubes into the gun without difficulty, the coupler held tightly onto the grease fitting, and the gun didn’t leak grease. If the Lucas Oil tubes had fit, I would give five stars.

Perfect performance
This product is perfect for the home mechanic who does their own maintenance and upkeep on their autos. It is the perfect size to get to some of the less than optimal grease nipple locations. I would recommend though that one practices with this product as it has an incredible amount of pressure for its size and it is possible to ruing a grease boot if one is not careful. But over all a fantastic product and highly recommend

Don't waste your money on this.
This is just one more example of an American company that USED to make a great product but has deceided to cut corners and now makeing a substandard product. 1) The bleed screw was so tight I had to use a screwdriver and a hammer to loosen it. 2) Once I finally bled the air out it pumped enough grease to fill two ball joints and then needed to be bled again. I wasn't able to bleed the air out again. Yes, there is still grease in the cartridge. This is going in the trash and I will pick up an American made one, if there is such a thing.

Very good but not great
Good grease gun but very expensive. Locking nozzle was the reason I purchased and I love it. The bad part is the gun is very difficult to prime and will not stay primed. Wasted a lot of grease purging air.
