Ordered this for my 16 lb. Schichon dog. The largest of the 3 sizes is comparable to the size of the cone you get from the vet, but much easier to put on and take off. The 2 smaller sizes aren't as deep. The velcro is wide and strong enough to keep it closed. I had to use the largest of the 3 as the vet says the proper size should be 1" past the dog's nose in order to properly cover their face. It is a little bit bigger around the neck than I hoped, but since he needed a haircut, and it is adjustable (depending how much of the wide velcro area you use), it worked fine. Also looks a lot nicer than the vet's version because of the black cloth trim around the edges, and the polka dot pattern. Easy to clean, just wipe it down with a damp paper towel.

This was purchased for my dog after surgery. The one they sent her home in had sharp edges and was obviously uncomfortable. Since she was going to be wearing it for several weeks we started looking for other options. She's too flexible and persistent for any of the soft/cloth options. This had nice binding at the edges and the velcro allowed for much better adjustability.

I wish they were wider, the larger sizes definitely need another 2 inches put onto the width otherwise the Velcro is strong and they can withstand being rammed into walls, trees, doors, and dressers.

This product needs a little engineering. I liked that it came in two cone length sizes, BUT for the large size product, which had the correct length for the longer cone size, the collar was too large and slipped right over my dogs head. So, I ordered the medium sized product. The medium size collar was perfect, BUT the cone length in both medium sizes was too short allowing my dog to lick its wound. Needless to say, for my 50 pound Aussie, the product in both large and medium sizes were useless. The advertisement should specify the cone lengths and collar ranges in inches. A set with three different cone lengths to accommodate short faced, regular faced and long faced dogs for each product size (S , M, L, & XL) would make this a good product. Obviously, a bull dog and an Irish wolf hound with the same neck size would need different cone lenths.

I bought this because I had originally purchased/wanted a more comfortable collar so I got one of the softer blow up type doughnut-looking collars, however within 3 days she was able to chew almost every body area as if she had nothing on. So I decided to go back to this cone type collar to prevent her from chewing and getting her sores infected. Well I just opened and was thinking since it came with 3 and states no worries about sizing etc that I would have no issues. Boy was I wrong ! The cone is flimsy, very difficult to see through making it difficult to get around on her own and to top it off it does not fit around her neck and so doesn't close or stay on. Was not "adjustable" or able to be "sized" as I thought from reading the descriptions and even a few reviews. Very disappointed in this product and honestly with Amazon as a whole. In the 15 years I have been purchasing from them this last year has really spiraled downwards fast. The quality of their products has decreased. Cheaper materials, comes in a million pieces you must assemble yourself (many times without any instructions), the photos you see and reviews you read many times are so inaccurate I have to check to confirm I ordered the correct item. The "same day shipping" options and even "next day" is 94 percent BS. When I need something fast I choose the shipping speed first, meaning the item I purchase is usually not the actual one I wanted but only "similar" due to the fact, the original did not promise "same/next day" shipping & if I had been aware I could have got both items in the same time frame I would have definitely ordered the original choice. Plus, the offer this shipping options and then in small print, inform you that this option is only available IF you spend $25 or more on that order. So then they have me, getting a product I am not totally happy with (not my 1st choice) and spending more money than I needed/wanted to. Yet, I rarely EVER get my item the same day and many times not even the next. Such a scam I feel to get one to buy the less quality products/ more costly, and pay more to raise the order total to qualify for shipping options, but then 96 percent do not follow thru with their end. I do not get any refund and end up usually with something of poor quality, (not as advertised) and I spend a lot of money with Amazon but have to say they better start stepping up in product quality, following thru with their ETAs &/or stop stating it if can't follow thru and make it right for the customer when they must experience this, over & over, more often than not. I want to feel good about a company I spend a ton of money with, purchase a large amount monthly and be able to trust their word and know if an item is not delivered when stated and or the quality (color, material, etc) is not as pictured, that they will go above and beyond to make it right and the customer happy. Yet to be honest they barely acknowledge my comments, and discount my feelings when let down and unable to rely on Amazon yet once again. Wake u on Amazon..

The velcro closure is so string. He never gets it off. The cone itself is very sturdy.It is the best designed cone we have used.

My cocker had to have his middle toe removed due to a very unusual infection. That was four months ago and the poor guy still wants to chew his foot. His specialists say no more infection but can't resolve the itch. So we are forced to keep him using a cone. This new cone is superior to any we have tried. The large cone in the set fits this 34 pound guy with a broad head and snout. It's light weight and fits more closely so he doesn't run into doors and furniture. Great Velcro and cone material. It's great to see him more comfortable now.
