BIC Xtra-Fun Stripes Graphite Pencil, #2 HB, 18-Count

I got to test the BIC® XTRA-Fun #2 Pencils with Stripes.This was intended to be for my older son since he is the one who is the one who is in school and uses #2 pencils on a daily basis, but his little brother got in on the action too. The kids were instantly drawn to the bright colors of these. These are not like their typical boring #2 pencils that I have bought in the past. (You wouldn't believe the big smile on my son's face when I showed him these and told him that he would get to use them!) Since he is a boy he immediately saw the Break-Resistant Lead claim on the package and tried his best at breaking the lead when he started writing! I can say that it did not snap off like other #2 pencils. WHEW! Now we got that one out of the way. So we could get to work with the rest of the testing. The poking, the prodding, the pulling at the this and just being tough on the pencils. He even bent it. These are very durable. (Which is good, because my kids are tough on things and will "Test" them to beyond their intended purpose. They did not snap or break, they are super durable. The erasers worked very well on these too. My son had no problem using them.I know that these BIC® XTRA-Fun #2 Pencils with Stripes will be a very good pencil for my son to take to school this year and will last him a very long time, unlike ones that he has used in the past. They look really fun and cool and I know he will be showing them off to all of his friends at school.*I got to review this product for FREE for my honest opinion.

For some reason, my 7 year old writes and draws with a VERY HEAVY hand. I think it's partly due to being a kid, but I'm also wondering if she's purposely trying to break the lead because she loves to sharpen pencils. I'm always amazed that her school supply list calls for 12 pencils. I think that's quite a bit for a whole school year, but knowing how often she sharpens her pencils at home I can see it being a valid amount for a kid her age.I received these as a promotion for free to try out from BIC Corporation. I was worried my kid wouldn't like these solid colored pencils, compared to her Princess or Cartoon Character pencils she normally uses. When I gave them to her she immediately started to draw with them. She said "Wow these are cool!". I was intrigued at their claim of "break resistant lead". I pressed down hard and tested them out. They write extremely smooth. You can notice immediately that these pencils are way better than the normal #2 pencils. They also sharpen rather easily. One thing about the usual "cartoon character/princess" type of pencils are that they easily break, and even break as you are sharpening them.I highly recommend these BIC Pencil Xtra Fun Stripes, #2 HB pencils. Gone are the days of buying those cutesy pencils where the lead just ends up breaking after each use.My daughter didn't even complain once I swapped out those cheapy pencils for these in her school supplies for next school year. She loves the colors and agrees they write a lot better.

My family, friends, and I all love these pencils. The name says it all. Xtra fun. I was giving the opportunity to try these pencils out for free from BIC. I am so happy they sent them to me. From the moment I opened up the box and got 2 packages everyone who saw them wanted one. From my 68 year old mother to my 2 year old son. The bright vibrant colors are appealing to all ages and gender. There is a color for everyone. My 4 year old niece was visiting last week and saw them sitting on my counter and had to have the blue one.Aside from the fun colors these pencils are functionally awesome. Especially for moms who have little boys that love to break everything. They are flexible and can bend much more than a regular pencil without breaking!!The pencil writes the same as a regular pencil. The eraser works great and doesn't leave behind any residue like some of the cheaper brands do.( meaning the paper doesn't get stained red) I like the white eraser and it also does a great job clearing whatever you are erasing. I found when sharpening the pencil I was able to get and even tip unlike other brands that when you sharpen them one side is lead and the other is all wood making it impossible to write.Overall I would say this is a high quality pencil. It writes nice, erases great, and sharpens evenly. Most off all I find kids get excited to use them because they are fun!!this is definitely a must for back to school shopping.

Say goodbye to boring yellow #2 pencils! Say Hello to BIC Pencil Xtra Fun Stripes! They have two-toned colored barrels and stripes. When I first saw these I thought they were colored pencils. Nope, they are normal pencils that are #2 which are school and test required pencils. Awesome! They are really solid and I have yet to sharpen them. I home school my 2 boys and they are used daily. The erasers are a thick shape looks like the erasers found on mechanical pencils. PMA certified Non-Toxic, too! My friend came over and she fell in love so I of course gave her some coupons for her back to school shopping. She said not just for my kids, I want to use them! They are really nice and I'm sure when school starts her children will be borrowing these pencils out to everyone. They are really kid friendly because of the colored barrels. I would of enjoyed these when I was in school. I used to use markers to color over my yellow #2's and if always rubbed off. So if you home school or send your child to school they will enjoy using these. So will you. Buy some for your office and I'm sure everyone will want one. BIC comes out with the coolest pencils and that is why they are #1.#BICXtraFun #GotItFree
