They don’t work like we had hoped they would.

You could let your melons sit in the dirt or you can hang them from stakes, which allows the fruit to get large without bug intrusions or rotting in place. These were the cheapest/best ones. You could pay more, but why would you?

Plenty of melon mesh bags and the ideal support for melons growing vertically. It beats having to use socks or ripped t shirts or plastic bags or panty hose for trellis melon vertical support.

Seeking hanging support for cantaloupe fruit, worked great and easy to install.

I used these nets to support watermelons that are vining on my fence. At first it seemed to work but as the watermelon got bigger, the net snapped. I tried putting two nets on one watermelon at once and both of those snapped as well. I ended up using a macrame plant hanger to support them instead. I added a picture of a watermelon that is still small enough to be in the net, although I will switch it to a macrame once it comes in. I also added a picture of the watermelon that got too large and snapped the nets and is now in a macrame hanger. I wouldn’t suggest getting these because they can snap at any point and you’re going to have to support them with something stronger eventually.
