Pretty decent for the price
Go this on sale for $40, and at this price it's great, but a full price I would probably look elsewhere.Brought this to a sporting event and had them on for 4hrs in 85 degree weather. It was comfortable and worked just as intended, and was less sweaty than expected. The amplifier works well, I could hear very distant, detail sounds and people talking. With the amplification off, it has great sound isolation and works great.Wind noise isn't great, the mic will pick up even a light breeze. As clear as the amplification is, it completely lacks any sense of directional awareness. You will hear small sounds but will have no ideas where it's is coming from which can be disorienting as first.

Walker name speaks quality
The name speaks quality!! When you are on the range, good ear protection is a must, these work very well.

Great ear protection at a decent price
Great range muffin. Work better than expected. Sound clarity is amazing and blocks the ballistic noise perfectly.

Solid
Great ear pro. Highly suggest getting gel inserts, though. The factory cushions aren't comfortable for extended use. Excellent noise reduction, battery life is on par with length of use. I would also suggest getting rechargeable batteries.

Comfortable, mostly effective
Out the box, these muffs were uncomfortably tight, but I've found that to be the case with ever type I've ever tried. A few days spent stretching on a stack of books, basketball, etc. usually makes them more comfortable and that was the case with these. The pads around the ears are very soft and feel good for long periods although the material doesn't breath at all, so be prepared to sweat a little if you're not able to periodically remove them. The speaker sound system is...fine. It definitely allows you to hear the environment around you but it doesn't provide the sound localization you have with normal hearing, i.e., you can't create a mental picture of your environment and the location of things in it from the sounds around you because everything comes through a single speaker in each ear, which creates a flat reproduction of the ambient sounds. There's no texture or dimensionality to the sound. It's rather like being underwater, and the feeling is amplified (no pun intended) by the fact that when there isn't any ambient sound you'll hear your own breathing. Really distinctly. To the point of distraction. The compression effect for loud sounds works well enough, but that brings me to my only real complaint with these muffs, and my reason for deducting a star: they don't reduce the sound of gun fire quite enough, and I bought them to wear while shooting. They're definitely better than shooting with no ear protection at all, and the noise reduction was sufficient for shooting small caliber pistols. But I first noticed a slightly uncomfortable level of sound was reaching my ears when I started banging away with the .357, and after a couple rounds of 7.62 I switched out to my cheaper, less comfortable, but much quieter shooter's muffs that I've been using for a while. The next guns to be fired were a 30-06 and a 308 and I didn't want to find out what those sounded like with the Walker's on. So for, say, power tool use or other industrial applications these muffs would probably be ideal: they're comfortable, give you pretty good environmental awareness because of the speakers, and sufficiently muffle moderately loud sound--I wish I'd had them when I was learning to play the drums, I could have worn them when practicing and saved my hearing to be ruined at actual gigs. But for very loud sounds like rifle fire, I found them to be not quite enough protection.

Very nice
Very nice headset for the price, very comfortable and it seems very durable. I like that you can have a conversation without having to yell and at the same time it muffles the sound of the gun.

Worth the cost!!!
Comfortable for extended wear. These are amazing,. I suffer from low grade hearing loss and they amplify well enough that I hear my son whisper at fifty feet in a ten plus mph wind. The protection they provide is tremendous. The only drawback I can find is the wind noise is a little annoying. Used them while firing a Ruger SFAR which is very loud and they work like a charm. Definitely recommend.
