Calypso Basics by Reston Lloyd Whistling Teakettle, 2 quart, Turquoise Marble

I was in dire need of a Whistling Tea Kettle! I prepare a pitcher of sweet tea on a daily basis and unfortunately, I have had a bad habit of placing a pot of water on the stove then returning to whatever I was doing. As a result, I totally forget about the pot on the stove which once I do remember, half of the water has boiled away. Due to my forgetfulness, I began my search for a specific kettle which by whistling would then alert me of the water boiling. As I want to leave it on my stovetop, I wanted to find a kettle that would match the accent color (turquoise-teal) in my kitchen and by purchasing this beautiful kettle, I did just that.... the coloring of this kettle matches perfectly in my kitchen!! It works wonderfully, I love it and am thrilled with my purchase!

This just arrived today. The packaging was surprising. It looked as though someone threw plastic shipping pillows in the box and then threw the packaged tea kettle in there. As a bonus, the top of one of the sides of the box was caved in.The tea kettle itself is a nice piece of decor for your kitchen, but I wouldn’t recommend using it over a gas range. The knob on the lid, the handle, and the whistler are all plastic (which was not described under product details). I put the kettle on med/high heat (the flames were nowhere near the spout) and after about a minute the whistler and base of the kettle started to burn.I am extremely disappointed about the carelessness of Amazon in their shipment strategies and I’m disappointed in the quality of the tea kettle.

This is a cute tea kettle and I love the color. The weight is nice. The round handle on the lid can be a bit difficult to grab but that isn't a major issue. The only significant complaint I have is that the spout drips when you pour from it. It doesn't matter if you pour slowly or quickly, or if the water level is high or low. It WILL drip when you pour. I like it otherwise so I'm keeping it. I just set my cup on a dishcloth when I pour the water.

I adore this neat looking teapot. It is smaller than my last one, but much better made, and It makes me a cup of tea, I only ever make one at a time. The handle does not get hot, and even though it moves, the handle stays up right while the water is boiling. It is easy to clean, and easy to use.

Super cute! It's a small tea pot but works perfectly for me since it is only used for one person. The handle can get a bit warm to the touch but not so bad that I've needed to use an oven mitt to pick it up.

Great looking little tea kettle but it whistles sometimes. It gets the job done and is holding up very well to the constant heat and washing. The color is still and vibrant as when I took it out of the box.

It's a beautiful enameled teakettle. Nice handle. The only complaint is that it leaks when you pour from it.

je suis un peu décue car ce n'est pas tel que décrit...Ils disent en marbre mais ils devraient plutot dire :Un look qui ressemble a du marbre...Pour le prix un peu cher pour du plastic et métal...Mais elle fait la job

My husband got this for me and while it's super cute and does its job the spout pours horribly and i burned myself the first time i used it.

Idéale pour faire bouillir l'eau pour un thé ou autre et l'important est le sifflet, donc on ne peut l'oublier
