We purchased the iFootage camera crane to shoot video for a YouTube channel. I was a bit skeptical at first as I knew little of this company. But the relatively light weight and speed of setup attracted me to this model. After receiving the unit I realized that it had build quality that far exceeded what I was expecting given the price point. It easily managed the weight of my Canon 1DXMk2 regardless of the lens. The motion is smooth but best results will come with practice. The crane has the ability to set some drag that will be useful in smoothing out some jerky hand movement. Overall I believe this crane was one of my favorite camera accessories. Adding it really helped to make my work look much more cinematic. If you are thinking about it, but have lingering doubts as I did, do yourself a favor and just do it. You will be hard pressed to find this combination of lightness, portability and build quality at a lower price.

It is well built, packs small and does not torque at full extension. I'm not sure about the 33lbs though. I've got a A7s with a Shogun recorder on a Manfrotto 502 head ( about 9 lbs). That takes 25lbs of counterweight. Can the carbon fibre rod withstand double the weight without snapping?

This is a well designed and manufactured crane. Fit and finish is excellent! Operation is smooth. Very happy!
