The media could not be loaded. I was very unsure of purchasing a product like this especially with not much to go on with reviews of the manufacturer or the product itself. Given the price (cheaper than most, if not all, that I was able to find) and the size of the motor (smallest assembly by volume) I decided to give it a go given I could always trust to be able to return it via Amazon. My goal for this was to give my dog the ability to access outside when he needed to use the restroom (he has a control button he can press mounted to the door frame coupled with a bluetooth chipped collar for enabling the process).The bet most definitely paid off. I received the motor and was impressed by the look of it, did not feel cheap and flimsy. The mounting instructions were easily to follow, but the operation instructions definitely needed some improvements on translation and detail specifics. I also found the control arm with the outside coating applied was extremely difficult to fit to the motor shaft slot. I used a fine grit sand paper to remove some of the coating and was finally able to press the control arm onto the motor shaft.Given the instructions for operation and control setup was difficult to understand especially the symbols on the input device used to provide setup instructions to the motor, I decided to contact the company via their chat support online on Friday afternoon (PDT time). I was immediately in contact with Sara at Olide. She made ever effort to determine what was causing me issues and with a sharing of some video support from her and myself it was finally determined I had one digital setting backwards. Once that was determined, I reset the motor and applied the settings as instructed and the door was off and running.I purchased the WIFI controlled version which provides a remote emulator. Basically, you program the emulator with the provided RF remotes and it sends a signal as if it was the remote. It works well and reliably. I also purchased a WIFI wireless smart switch relay module, which you can wire right into the motor assembly and tuck it right inside the external housing. If you were to buy a two-channel smart relay you could also operate the lock function, which has the ability to activate a magnetic lock if you happen to have one. The RF and WIFI remotes also provide this lock input. The only difference between operating the motor with the remotes versus the smart relay is the remotes result in a warning beep just as the door opens while using the relay does not. The other bonus of the smart relay is you’d be able to control the door, lock, etc. via Alexa or any other smart hub device.All and all the I’m very impressed with the motor, the installation (with some minor tolerance issues that was easily corrected), and the support provided by Olide (particularly from Sara, Thank you Sara!)

The media could not be loaded. Item was not too hard to install but instructions were not very helpful. The videos were more useful. Now that the beeping sound is muffled the dogs are not bothered by it.

The installation went well. I would like to see slight changes to the instructions, but nothing serious. I have sent them a couple of minor suggestions to the design, but all in all they were fine. The product shipped quickly, they responded quickly to texts. If I had ten more of these to do, I would use these for all of them.
