Does not treat symptoms (update below!)
The way this is marketed makes you think that it’s meant to help manage symptoms of cold and flu. This is not the case. The directions advise taking this within 4 hours of onset. I do appreciate the idea behind this product, the taste is also apparently very good, but you’re better off buying something that has actual medicinal qualities to treat cold and flu symptoms.Update! Okay so I ended up catching the bug my kid had, and as soon as I felt a tickle in my throat I took 2 of these tablets. I’ve been taking 2 tablets once or twice daily for about 2-3 days now. The taste reminds me of old lipstick but my kid likes it, so whatever. My husband did NOT take these at all and his symptoms are worse than mine. Usually we’re about the same when it comes to symptoms and suffering. He’s much more congested, has a headache, and way more throat soreness. Although I feel this could be more effective for kids if they could take it quite a bit after onset of symptoms, for adults who know their bodies it definitely helps.
