Great mat for seed starting.

Impressed how it stays at a regular heat & helps my plants 🌱 grow, along with the Grow Lightbulb I bought for the lamp.

I had been trying to get seedling medium temperature up to 80 degrees F in a room that is about 70 degrees F, but the mat stayed on constantly without reaching the desired 80 degrees F.I think the problem I had was that I was using 3" peat pots, which are too large and contain too much seedling starter mix for the mat to reach the desired temperature.Now I'm using the smaller ten-to-a-unit (2" tall) Jiffy Strips peat pots and the mat seems to be doing fine.

This is an essential product for efficiently starting one's seedlings. It's well made and other than placing seedling cups on the mat, it takes no wear. Still, it seems to be made of very durable vinyl or similar material and water seeping through the plant soil is not a problem. One unfortunate design may be the fact that it has only one temperature. I'm not sure if a varied control would make any difference, but I do know that some seeds (like okra) need warmer soil than others (like cabbage). But so far, I have had no problem in starting any seeds. So I'm not grousing about the design, just so you know it's a one-temperature-fits-all product.

I use it to start seeds for the garden. With tomato, pepper and eggplant seeds I had almost 100% germination. Also worked great for other seeds. In fact, I have not found anything yet that it does not improve germination. The only problem was my cat. She managed to push a seed flat out of the way, got comfortable and melted into a jello-like puddle of protoplasm! Not really. She can only take it for about 30 minutes and then she needs to ooze off and reconstruct.

These heat mats work perfect for my setup! I started seeds indoors for the first time this year with great success. The mats helped in germination and also in growing in front of a cold window. They are slightly larger than the shelf rack I purchased at Lowes so they curl up at each end which is a bonus for warmth. Another helpful feature is they're waterproof, so for me it keeps the mess contained since I don't have a greenhouse. I plan to order two more as I have space.

Absolutely love these!!! We own a small farm and start all our transplants ourselves so quality and reliability are extremely important.Our seeds sprouted on day 3 or 4 of average. They are strong, vigorous seedlings with great growth.To help put it in perspective we are currently growing approx. 200 tomato plants, 120 pumpkins, 72 herbs, 100s of flowers, corn, etc.I bought 2 mats and each mat fits 4 flats. Just unroll them and them relax in warm weather and plug in.

It fit my tray perfectly in my long rectangle dry tray that holds the smaller square flood tray and stays at a consistent warmth.I really loved the kind thank you card that was included in the package. It was so nice that I went back on Amazon, searched and found all iPower products - and got another same size mat but with the temperature controller included, so I can put under my reservoir..I also got an iPower seedling light with stand today. Really looking forward to them coming in!

My cat gets fed under my bed at night. She is a very fussy cat and only likes her food served in specific ways. A true diva. I sleep with the window open at night. In Canada, this means her food gets very very cold overnight.I put her plate on this, and it keeps her fancy feast lightly warmed all day long. Not hot, just warm. Her food contains medicine so its important she eats all of it.This is the perfect product for this use.

Finally I found a heat mat that I can put four 10/20 trays on and still have them all under on 4 bulb 48" grow light without using a power bar to plug in 4 separate mats.The Heat mat holds a nice steady temp at about 88-90F degree. Once I increase my seed starting unit I will buy one or two more of these mats.

This mat is perfect to propagate clones/cuttings or germinate seeds, speeds up the process by creating the ideal temperature for rooting. very durable, well made.You can even use this to speed up fermentation in homemade foods and drinks like yogurt, Kombucha etc.

J'avais besoin d'un tapis chauffant pour mes semis de piments. Ce tapis chauffant fonctionne à merveille. Simplement le brancher et le laisser faire son travail. J'obtiens un excellent résultat de pousse. Je le recommande.
