Hello, This sewing kit is recommended for kids 7 years old or above. Younger kids of 5-6 years old can also do it with help from an adult. All fabrics comes with pre-punched holes and non-sharp tools are provided. The kit comes with detailed graphical instructions with easy-to-read steps. Kids who are beginner at sewing craft will find it fun and straight forward to make the craft. Q: Can the completed projects be machine washed?

Hi, FYI we do not recommend using machine wash for the completed dolls as it may loosen up the stitching and accessories. For cleaning, you may use a wet towel to clean the surface. Regards, KraFun

Q: How durable are these animals? Most kits are simply felt. I was hoping for something a little heavier/durable than that.

Made of felt, but I think they are pretty durable and firm enough for granddaughters to hold and push the needle through the holes.

Q: Can you use this on the cool maker sewing machine?
