Pawsitively Betrayed: A Witch of Edgehill Mystery Book 5

What a fun and action filled series. Is this the end of the Penhallows or just a recess? Enjoyed them.

I loved all five of these books. This one did not disappoint at all. The story was wrapped up beautifully, and it was a wonderful story from start to finish. The characters. The setting. The cats and wonderful cat puns. I loved it all. It was as close to perfection as you can get.

What a satisfying end to the series! There are so many twists and turns and questions that you'll be glad you have Amber figuring it out and pulling you along to the climatic end. It's a whirlwind and we get to see the whole cast of characters, and even a couple of new ones. Everyone is needed to save the day.Since I was one of the readers who liked the chemistry between Amber and Chief Brown, I appreciated all the references. :0) I feel comfortable with them being friends now and their energy is very sweet. High-energy Kim and uptight Bianca together are hilarious. I laughed out loud several times while reading—the personalities in this book mesh in very amusing ways! I felt sorry for Edgar and may have a bit of a crush on the brooding gamer now. There was a scene very near the end, where Amber finally meets a couple she thought she'd never know, and it brought tears to my eyes.As for the Here and Meow—the details about that floats, decorations, and activities are so complete I was nearly overwhelmed trying to imagine them all. Some people may get a little nervous at the thought of so many cat-themed items and events, but I would love to see them all in person!Lastly, Amber is such a wonderful hero to follow. She second-guesses herself, tries, fails and tries again. She uses logic while listening to her heart. I knew all along that magic would be safe in her hands. I hope she gets a long break to relax after this!

Totally enjoyed this entire series. Wasn't sure what the conclusion would be but totally pleased with the outcome!Highly recommend for a fun read!

Loved the twists and turns in the last book of this 5 book series. Such a talented story teller. Sorry to see it end. Hopefully The Blackwood family will have additional adventures for us to enjoy. Thank you Melissa for sharing your talent. Looking forward to more!

I started this book not knowing where it would go… I ended up buying the series because I could not get enough of Amber. I felt as if I were right there in Edgdehill. Thank you for this book. It was truly a good read I throughly enjoyed it from start to finish. If there was more I would surly read. Murder, mystery, magic and CATS!

I enjoyed this whole series and have read all 5 books, the first 4 in rapid succession, and then had to wait for the fifth to be published. It was easy to get absorbed into this fantasy world where witches were real and magic was believable. The author made it easy to care for these characters and get involved in their adventures and solve some murders. Amber was a worthy heroine, abetted by a cast of endearing relatives and friends, some witch and some not. There was lots of humor and some romance, too. I thought this fifth (and final) book summed up the series nicely. After a suitable wait, I would like to reread the whole series, it was that much fun!

So sorry this series has come to an end. Melissa is an amazing story teller. I love the way she takes you into the pages of the book and holds you there

I just finished the last book of a wonderful, fun, and enthralling series! It made me laugh, and cry, and binge-read till my eyes hurt.There were a couple of editing mistakes, that were a bit annoying, but I fall in love with Amber and her magical and non-magical gang, so I was able to let go of those little flaws, and let myself get immersed myself in a world where, while evil may lurk, Magic heals everything in the end.Thank you, Miss Jackson, for such beautiful and magical stories!

I have just finished reading the whole series, one after the other. Couldn’t stop! Even though each book ended satisfactorily I still couldn’t leave it alone! You know the feeling when you’re thinking about the characters even when you’re not reading? Then you know it’s good! Just loved them all - thank you Melissa!
