Nice compact sound machine
I've had this noise machine for a few years, and I've been using it every night at home. It's also so easy for travel because of its size. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of space on my night stand. I only use one type of sound and rarely change the volume. At first it's hard to figure out how the buttons work, but since I use the same sound every night I only have to use the power button.

Really nice little sound machine
I can't recommend this little sound machine enough for travel. The battery life is surprising good, so we don't need to recharge very often. The sound quality is nice. We enjoy the rain/light thunder sound!

Excellent portable sound machine
This sound machine is small enough to fit in the palm of the hand and has the option of running off of batteries which makes it perfect for travel. Each sound option button has six sounds which can be assessed by pushing the button. It takes practice to know how many times to push button to select your chosen sound. Power button is next to lock slider which makes it easy to turn machine off in dark. Very pleased with sound and volume options.

Easy to hit wrong buttons if you need to move it around
Using under the bed of elderly person with advanced Alzheimer's, so it has to be out of sight and reach.Bought it to replace my iHome Zenergy Meditative Light & Sound Therapy Candle, that has colors and meditation stuff on it.This unit, Serene Evolution, has a built in NON REPLACEABLE battery that will allow the unit to work in a power outage, very helpful for insulating the alzheimers person from distressing storm sounds. It came with a usb cord, it is NOT a USB C end, but the older kind. There was not a usb wall plug with it, you will need your own USB wall outlet to use with it.It has plenty of different sound options. I was hoping to find the exact sound option the iHome has on it and there is not an exact match. The iHome "white/color noises" seems to do a better job of masking noises from rest of house than any of the "white/color noises" on this unit. I have turned it up to where it is definitely noticably on when you walk in the room and still you can kinda hear through it compared to the iHome unit we were using. The iHome somehow has a frequency/volume combo that makes it so background that an aide came in the room and did not realize there was a sound machine operating. she had to leave and come back in paying attention to notice it, yet it masked tv and other house noises better. I am going to continue messing with the various white noise options and volume to see if I can hit on a better option that will work at a lower less noticeable volume. It has lot of great sound options.Because I have to pick it up to put it under the bed or get it out from under the bed, my fingers are always hitting the buttons because they encircle the unit. Once I finally find the best noise volume combo this should no longer be an issue. It would be great for travel and it has a locking button so it does not accidentally get turned on and run the battery down.It is well worth the money.

Strange Noises Ruin the White Noise Experience
I had high hopes for this white noise machine, but after a few uses, it became unusable. At first, it seemed fine, just like any other white noise. However, by the fourth time, I started noticing strange, almost human-like sounds mixed in—like someone faintly singing or humming beneath the noise. Once I heard it, I couldn’t unhear it. Now, instead of helping me relax or sleep, it distracts me completely. It’s frustrating because white noise should blend into the background, not make me feel like there’s someone lurking in my room! Until they fix this bizarre issue, I can’t recommend this product.

Buttons break easily
If you're a parent, you know that babies and toddles love to throw things. Well our daughter threw this a couple times and two of the buttons completely stopped functioning. One of those happened to be the volume up button so it eventually got turned down so low you could barely hear it and there was no way to turn it back up. 36 sounds is way too much, you will never use that many. We only ever used the same 1-3 tunes/sounds. There's no need to have so many options, in my opinion. The first sound machine we had was a YogaSleep and it had three sounds. That seemed perfectly enough. I also liked that the YogaSleep came with a ring you could use to clip it to things - the stroller, the car seat, etc. but this sound machine does not.
