A good, affordable Breaker
I got this to sample the mythical Bluesbreaker pedal. I heard amazing things about these sounding very close to the real thing. I got the real thing too, it sounds very close. Without trying, I happened to set both the Breaker and the Crab to the exact same setting. They have a similar sweet spot. If the big name-brand version is a little pricey for you, this is a good wallet friendly version. The only downside I say this pedal has is the gain knob turns very easily if you nudge it accidentally. Still though, I suggest everyone to try this, and just about any Mooer pedal a try. They are affordable copies of big name pedals, from the Bluesbreaker to a modified Boss DS-1. Give them a try if you can

Gigging replacement for my Protein
Wanted to build a gigging-mini-rig and had my Browne Protein pedal to use the left side after my TS808. Realizing how small the board was I thought I'd try to find a smaller, cheaper alternative to save space and cash if my board happened to walk out a club. This pedal fits the bill! Perfectly blues-breaker-y and of high quality materials. With the gain and tone at noon and level to unity, my clean amp sits right on the verge of breakup while retaining a beautiful brightness and clarity though my MIM tele with Fender Original 50s pickups! Stacked over the TS808, you get a great SRV-like tone with cutting mids and powerful lows! Could not recommend more!

Great sound for budget price
I liked it. The Blues Crab had almost the perfect sound, especially between the 11 o'clock to the 2 o'clock positions.I did feel that it could have used just a little more, but if I turned it up too much it sounded more muddy. So it was almost perfect for my needs. However, today it just popped and died.I don't know if I'll get another at this point. I'm using the Tone City "Sweet Cream" right now and it is currently hitting that sweet spot that the Blues Crab needed.I feel that if you're still looking for something to help you find just the right blues tone, then definitely pick up the Blues Crab. It's a great deal and a great place to start. It was a good pedal for me to find the sound that I was looking for.Until today it was the first pedal in my chain. It lasted 2 years and I'm happy with it. I might buy another one, but first I'm going to open it up and see what popped. Maybe it's an easy fix. I'll update the review afterwards.Thank you.

This thing is pretty flawless. I wish I could rate it a 4 1/2, because the only tiny issue I have is that the gain knob is very easy to accidentally turn down. Either way, this thing is beautiful. The tone knob seems to somehow always allow your amp and guitar's tone to come through beautifully, basically only really deciding how much treble you want (Which somehow, even when dimed, and even when turned all the way down, still sounds exactly like your amp), the gain is clear and crisp and has plenty of high-mid compression (so it feels really good to play), and the level knob has plenty of boost. This is a 1:1 copy of the Marshall Bluesbreaker V1. I recommend putting it after other drives, as it can get really squishy and easy to play that way, and doesn't screw up their tone too much, and after modulation, as it adds an amp-like character to sterile digital pedals.

Tone Robber
I'm not loving this one, because it takes so much nuance out of my tone. I don't know if the real ones do this also. It could be normal, and this is fine.

just OK
I feel like it sounds like it supposed to sound but I just don't really like it. There is an atypical distortion tone and that may be appealing (usually that is something i like) but it just seams weird. It sounds like swidgdgdgdgde.....

Outstanding
I have the Marshall Blues Breaker reissue, but it's a big pedal. I snagged this one as a compact option, and I must say--it's very very good. Sonically, it's super close to the Marshall one. What more can you ask for? Considering it's way cheaper, you can't go wrong with this.

It’s a Bluesbreaker Pedal
I use this pedal, mainly to add some clarity, and grit to the neck pickup of my humbucker equipped guitar. It stacks nicely with other overdrives, and I love the small footprint. If you see it for under $50, as it often is, snatch it up. The price fluctuates, a lot, but definitely buy it for that price. If you’re searching for that sound, but don’t want to spend hundreds for an original, this is a good one.
