First of all, plenty of reviewers tried it for a few days or even just once and said it was uncomfortable or didn't fit right. If you want this to be comfortable and fit right, you need to spend a week or so wearing it first. But it's worth it.I got a first generation mask from their Kickstarter campaign around April 2020. I bought it because (probably as a result of pnemonia that hospitalized me over a decade ago) I got faint when wearing an N95 mask for a long time. Also, this make is better than N95 (it would be N99.7 if the scale worked like that) and I worked in a building with a lot of people at the time and was tasked with walking through that crowd on a regular basis. If you're reading this review in 10 or 20 years and you're too young to know who I needed the mask, then be very glad that you do...The first day I had a major headache, but I breathed just fine! I was able to wear the mask for about 5 hours straight without any problems other than the pain. Also, I had to keep it quite tight because it would otherwise leak. The instructions said this was normal at first because the silicone needs to mold to your face over time. After the first week, however, that was all over. The mask did mold to my face, meaning that it wasn't as tight and it fit like a glove. No more headaches and no more leaks even when it wasn't as tight.Flash forward to December of 2020. I was now working from home, so I wasn't wearing it as much. At a rough guess, I had worn it for 800 hours, and something broke! The charging port ended up with a loose wire that caused a problem which made the mask stop working. Luckily, I had a second mask that I purchased for my wife and she didn't like, so I started wearing that one. Once again, I had to wear it for a few days overly tight and I got headaches, but that went away even faster this time, more like 10 hours of use instead of 25! I e-mailed, not expecting much since this was a Kickstarted, but they sent me a replacement anyway with 2 day shipping! However, the power button broke in that replacement unit within a few days. I tried e-mailing them, but they didn't ask me to send back the original one (just sent photos) and they thought I was trying to cheat them out of another mask, so they didn't help me this time. If this mask wasn't the key to me surviving the pandemic, I would be writing a negative review over that. Afterall, they could have just asked me to send back the bad mask... But the mask is well worth that annoyance, and I had an extra, so I kept going. In November 2021, I was still wearing my second mask and still using the original set of filters, now going on 1,500 hours! And I finally had to change them. That's a great life span for filters that claimed a 300 hour lifespan. And I bought a new mask from Amazon so I have a spare again.The new mask is not as good as the old one. Once again, I would take a star off, but I feel even this not as good mask is still a 5 star product. The new mask is quieter, but the fans aren't as fast. I have to keep it on medium when I'm inside and high when I'm outside in the heat, compared to low and medium on the old mask. It still works though, so I am using it. And the battery life is a bit better than the old one, so that's a plus...If you've read this far, I owe you a few negatives. The mask isn't perfect, and here are the cons:1. It is very hard to talk through it. The mask not only doesn't flex with your mouth, but it also muffles the sound, and the cumulative effect is that I have to speak up and repeat myself. I often find myself pulling the mask back a bit so I can talk better. Definitely don't try to make a speech with this one. They could fix this if they made the mask a bit larger and included a mic and speaker so it repeated what I say. When I was working in the building and wearing it a lot, I was thinking about using a portable PA system, the type where the speaker clips on your belt and set on low, and with a small mic mounted inside the mask. But since I changed jobs a few months in, I never finished those plans.2. Your mouth dries out if you talk a lot because of the fan blowing on you. There's really nothing they could do about that, and you just need to get used to it. I can slip a stray up underneath the mask, so I just got in the habit of keeping a drink with me when I'm wearing it.3. You can't scratch your nose! Well, you can, but you have to fit your finger under the mask and since it's so tight doing so looks ridiculous and also makes it look like you're picking your nose... I either go outside or go in an area where there are no people and take the mask off if the itch gets bad enough. They couldn't fix this one either, so I'm not holding it against them.Oh, and to speak to some reviewers who talk about kids: No, these masks are too big for small children. A 12 year old might fit, if they aren't very thin, but anyone younger won't and it will leak and just not be as helpful as you'd like it to be. They could fix that by offering a kids kit that has more silicone to reduce the size of it. But that's something that would take a lot of research, and I don't expect them to do that. They do not advertise this as a kids mask, so don't take off stars for it not fitting kids!Last word: Buy the mask, try it on, give it a week, and you won't be disappointed after that time. Not everyone will love this mask, but it will help you breathe easier and potentially save your life, so why wouldn't you give that a chance? Especially since it's on sale for $100 now (I paid $75 each for my first two, but those were pre-orders on Kickstarted. They sold these for $150 for over a year after that happened before they made it to Amazon and were able to lower the price, so $99 is really a good deal!)

THIS PRODUCT HAS TAKEN ME 2 MONTHS TO WORK WITH AND TRY TO GET THE SMELL DOWN TO A BEARABLE LEVEL BEFORE TRYING TO PUT IT ON AND WEAR IT FOR AN HOUR OR TWO SO I CAN CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE DETECTABLE REACTION TO ANY LINGERING PLASTIC OR CHEMICAL SMELLS....FIRST OFF THIS ATMOBLE FACE MASK SMELLS LIKE CHEMICALS AND PLASTIC AND IF YOU ARE SENSETIVE TO PLASTICS AND CHEMICAL SMELLS YOU MIGHT WANT TO READ WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED AS I AM TRYING TO HAVE PATIENCE AND WORK WITH IT. I TRIED CALLING TEH COMPANY AT 400-880-1202 TO TRY AND SPEAK WITH A REP BUT THE NUMBER AUTOMATICALLY HANGS UP PROABABLY BECAUSE IT IS AN INTERNATIONAL NUMBER OR SOMETHING.. SO FIRST OF ALL It looked impressive WHEN I SAW IT but when I got it I had found that it put off a BAD plastic chemical like SMELL so I decided to try and let it "off gas" so I took it out of the box and charged it. I put it on and found that it DOES NOT FIT LIKE A 3M cartridge respirator The fit is smaller. I have a goatee (beard) and the 3m cartridge respirator fits around my goatee just fine... in fact I trim my beard to fit inside the 3m cartridge mask. I really wanted this mask to work because THIS MASK IS SLEEK AND UNIQUIE AND IT PROABABLY DOESNT LEAK AS MUCH AS THE STADARD DISPOSABLE. IT has fans to push the air in to which may help to keep the humidity down inside the mask and also provide less air constriction making it easier to breath when I am doing activities like going up and down stairs or raking leaves, its rechargeable and it also has 3 speeds for the built in fans. I am stuck with it now because the return time is closed. SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS MASK Just beware that although it has nice features that it puts off a brand new plastic smell that you will be breathing in and out for as long as you wear it and also that it will fit but it will possibly leak if you have a beard. You may be able to have a mustache but not a goatee. another thing that I noticed is the rectangular SEAL AROUND THE SIDES OF THE HEPA filters on the mask not convince me that there is no leakage of larger particles than where the filters are supposed to filter out does not become an issue if the deals wear out there as well. The covers with the filters in them are held on by magnets and they do fit snug. I really want this thing to work. perhaps with more airing out of the unit to get rid of the plastic or chemical smell and if I shave my beard and trim down my mustache it will make a good seal. But the plastic and chemical smell must go first and it is a shame that they would go through the trouble of building something for the purpose of filtering out dust and germs and air born particles and introduce VOC smelling elements which will leave the smell of the mask on your mind and in your nose after taking it off when you are done trying to protect your lungs and your health.For Design I give them a 5 out of 5. I feel like giving them a 1 star because I haven't been able to bear using it yet because the plastic chemical smell has not gone away enough to convince me that it is safe enough for me to use. I will try to air it out even more by putting it in some type of box with a fan on it with the mask itself switched on and running... Oh yeah... The App doesn't work. the directions/instructions are written in Alien syfy and I hope that the app did not leave my mobile device vulnerable to hack. I will update this review and either increase or decrease my Stars according to its performance (Just as soon as I can evaluate its performance if I can get the smell to go away completely and I AM NOT GOING TO FILTER OUT THE CHEMICAL AND PLASTIC SMELL BY JUST PUTTING IT ON AND BEARING WITH IT. Someone should make the executives and designers of this product put a new pair of sneakers up over their mouth and nose and breath in and out through them... It would make a comparable scenario to the way this mask smells unless the sneakers were worn then i would say that it would be a little unfair.O.K. so here is how i have endured with trying to break this mask in and get rid of this smell I really should not have to be involved in product development and improvement for the manufacturer. Hopefully they will do something about this.HERE IS MY UPDATE: I put the mask in a plastic box that did not smell and propped up the lid on one side just high enough to put a small 3 inch fan that runs at a good speed. to keep air flowing across the mask. I had the mask switched on high and faced the front filters of the mask toward the fan so that the air would circulate be drawn through the filters and mask and leave the box.I then put a small towel over the box ( but not the fan in the back ) I misted this towel with bottled water that I put in the spray bottle that was on Spray. This was to provide a little moisture due to the fact that it is winter and everything is dry. I let the mask run and fan run until the mask was out of battery and needed to be charged overnight. FIRST DAY I TRIED TO PUT THE MASK ON AFTER AIRING IT OUT NO DIFFERENCE so I put the mask back in the box with the electric fan switched on and misted the towel again. SECOND TIME I TRIED IT AFTER RECHARGE AND AIR OUT PROCEEDURE It smelled only slightly better. Now I am ALREADY AGGRAVATED getting more than a little aggravated. SO upon trying to air out the mask I remembered what another company rep suggested which they tell their customers about the long plastic type air hoses that they use pump air through from their stationary air pumps to breathing mask and so I used a minute amount of a similar solution I made up by putting 2 or 3 drops of white vinegar in a small travel sized spray bottle with about 3 ounces of water in it and then switched the mask on and put it in the plastic box I made the I lightly misted the rag that I placed over the whole AIR OUT BOX WITH ELECTRIC FAN ( which I made ) although this produced only a very slight smell in the area kind of like you were sitting in front of a salad with vinegar dressing the smell that was misted on to the micro fiber towel that I placed over the box may or may not have had time to enter the box a and blow around but I thought it was worth a try since a person from a breathable air mask purifying products business told me this is what the people who work in the field with his equipment do to get rid of or take down the plastic smell from the air hoses that they breath through. So THIRD TIME I PUT ON THE MASK AFTER RUNING IT IN MY AIR OUT BOX WITH FAN... a little more progress... so I charged it and let it sit and got tired of playing with it. today when I picked it up and tried to breath through it I breathed about five small inhale exhale breaths trying to detect smell and YES IT DOES STILL SMELL AS THE MASK IS ON AND RUNNING AND AS I AM RUNNING IT AND BREATHING IN AND OUT. ( I HAVE IT ON HIGH FOR MAXIUMUM AIR FLOW.I WOULD SAY AT THIS POINT IT IS ABOUT READY TO BE TESTED BY USING IT FOR A PERIOD OF TIME ON A TRIAL BASIS.IF ANYONE IS STILL READING THIS REVIEW I WILL TRY TO INCLUDE A VIDEO WITH THE PLASTIC TYPE BOX AND FAN I SET UP I MADE LATER. I AM TIRED OF TRYING TO DO R&D WORK FOR TRYING TO GET RID OF POWERFUL UNNATURAL SMELL OUT OF A MASK THAT WAS DESIGNED TO TRY AND HELP AND IMPROVE AND PROTECT A PERSONS HEALTH OR LOWER RISKS OF ALLERGIC REACTIONS OR EXPOSURE TO GERMS.AND REMEBER I STILL DID NOT GIVE IT A TEST RUN.I WILL DO THAT WHEN I HAVE NOTHING TO LOOSE LATER ON SOMETIME.YOU CAN BET THAT I JUST ABOUT REGRET BUYING THIS MASK FOR THE REASON THAT IS SMELLS SO BAD WHEN I FIRST TOOK IT OUT OF THE BOX AND IT HAS TAKEN ME WAY PAST MY ONE PERSONAL POINT OF PATIENCE AND EFFORT TO TRY AND MAKE IT WORK JUST TO GET AN INITIAL EVALUATION OF HOW WELL IT MIGHT WORK IF I WALK INTO A DUSTY CLOSET AND HAVE TO GET SOME FILES OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

I ride outdoors in BC where we have had intense forest fires and hence air quality ratings above 430!The mask fits well, although I wish it was a little larger. I've never run out of battery and it charges fast.One strange thing I find is that although I don't notice the forest fire smoke I do notice cigarette smoke when I pass someone smoking. I also notice the smell of freshly cut grass when passing fields that have just been cut.I don't know how is this possible with a HEPA filter?Also, having used the filters for at least 36+ hours I don't see any dust or other pollutant build up on the filters.These observations have caused me to be concerned if I'm really getting HEPA level protection. I've written to the company and will update when I receive it.

The mask is great the air flow is nice, the filtration could be better. The mask straps are snug and fits pretty good. The fiter is easy to replace. The mask is not to bulky at all. Average size man. Not sure if the plastic is BPA free, which is my only concern with this.
