A Little Complicated, But Terrific
***UPDATE: After almost a year of use, I like this machine more and more. No, I wouldn’t sell it back now, for the original purchase price. If you offered me twice the original price, I would just get another, and a lot of coffee to brew in it.*** —- First, this was marked, “Used - Like New.” It had all the parts and manuals, the plastic was still on the screen, and it had obviously never been used. Very pleased. Second, this takes a little getting used to, but it’s worth it, and the coffee and espresso are really good. (I’m no expert.) I would suggest watching lots of YouTube videos, specifically about the Dinamica Plus, especially from DeLonghi and from Tom’s Coffee Corner.. I would suggest starting with a freshly-roasted medium roast coffee. I tried a nice light-roast to begin with, and it was not as good to start with as a medium roast. There is a hot water option that is great for making tea. Cleaning is simple, and's the machine will remind you. The machine and the color screen are attractive, which is a plus if it lives in your counter. Third, the Connected version incorporates a Bluetooth-connected app. It adds a lot of functionality to the machine, including the ability to customize drinks and User profiles. The app itself is good, not great, but I would certainly opt for the Connected version again, if I were buying it again. There are not many videos about the app, but a little effort will be worth it. The Bluetooth connection even allows you to wake up the machine from the next room and remotely start to brew a drink. That’s more fun than useful, but, hey, it’s fun. I needed to call DeLonghi tech support to get my iPhone connected to the machine, and they were pleasant to work with. My wife’s iPhone connected immediately. I’m a sucker for milk/coffee drinks, and the Dinamica makes nice frothed milk. Suggestion: if you are going to use chocolate syrup, try pouring it in the empty cup, and choosing Cappuccino Mix, which pours the espresso first. It can mix the syrup and the coffee flavors before the machine adds the foamed milk. Personal opinion: I prefer the Long to the Coffee; they’re very similar drinks, but the Long has a smoother coffee flavor. Summary: I am extremely pleased with this purchase. My wife looks at me like, “That’s nice, dear.”

Want easy, excellent espresso? Great machine.
After a lot of reading and testing, we bought the De'Longhi Dinamica Plus Connected Espresso & Coffee Machine with Automatic Milk Frother. You can certainly spend more on an automatic espresso machine that some aficionado claims makes a better extraction by pulsing. You can spend more because you prefer the aesthetics of another design. However, the range of customizations available on this machine and the excellent resulting espresso selections made to our specifications persuaded us that our range of preferences is well covered. The automatic frother is easy to clean and maintain. The machine rinses itself programmatically. The selections and modifications are easy to understand. You can make your own recipes via Bluetooth connection while sitting on your sofa. The color display is attractive and easy to use. It has a compact width on the counter. Great machine, not inexpensive but not overpriced.

Great concept poorly implemented and unsupported
I’ve had an older version of this model, perhaps before the introduction of Chinese manufacturing, and I loved it. It was a beast. It seemed indestructible and it made great coffee. This one was garbage out of the box. The “Water Circuit Empty” alert would not reset. Looking online, I troubleshot to the extent of prudence. There is a small switch with an encased impeller that someone (including De’Longhi, as they post the YouTube video on their site) thinks filling with a small amount of water will fix the problem. Not true, at least in my case. I suspect that there is an air/water leak somewhere I can’t find. I called customer support. They recorded a video of it not working, and said I should await an email containing a return label in 1-2 days. Three working days (five days) passed without an email. So I replied to the email sent from the rep I spoke to asking for the label. Someone else answered from the same account asking for a video of the malfunctioning unit. I explained that I’d already submitted that and boxed up the unit to send back for a replacement. No answer, three days later. So thankfully I can still return it to Amazon and buy a Breville instead, like I should’ve from the beginning. I only regret buying the protection plan and wasting so much time. Edit: Adding Amazon to the review and dropping to one star. Although the tracking number indicates the product was received over a week ago, the refund has not been processed. All the more reason to avoid this product.

Poor Customer Service (Technical Support), Excellent Machine
I owned a Saeco Exprellia machine that cost $2000 new and used it for 7 years. This was my first super automatic. It worked flawlessly for five years and then began to need repairs. Finally I got frustrated enough to go after a new machine. After reading many reviews I decided to try the Phillips 3200 as it was $800 and had all the same features as more expensive machines. I kept it for three days and then returned it. It made decent coffee, but the ground coffee pucks came out like wet sand with a lot of water in the drip tray. Adjusting the grind setting had no effect so I decided to return it. I did not want to get a new machine and have trouble from day one. Then, I got the DeLonghi 37005TI. What a difference! It is much more substantial, works terrifically and is super easy to use. Although $700 more expensive than the Phillips 3200 it is well worth it. The Saeco machine is now labelled as Gagglia and has the same $2000 price tag. The DeLonghi runs circles around it. I can't think of anything bad to say about this machine. Update: Sometimes when I descale the machine it does not reset and still indicates it needs to be descaled. This happens every so often and is unpredictable. I am not sure if it is a glitch or if the machine senses it is not cleaned enough and needs to be cleaned again. Update: 7/31/24 - I have had trouble with the milk carafe being very difficult to remove and tried lubricating everything with silicone that did not work. So, I purchased a new carafe and had the same trouble with it. I hated to force the carafe off as I feared breaking something. So, I wrote to DeLonghi Customer Support and after several emails I have given up. I was never put in contact with a technician nor given one suggestion. Customer support was interested in the invoice, where I bought it and photos of the serial numbers. Now they want a video of the problem when I try to remove it. I know from past experience that a technician would never work this way and would offer some things to check, or lubricate, etc. I have given up. However, it is still an excellent machine and works great except for the carafe problem.

Like having a cyber barista at home
I've had the ECAM35075SI Dinamica for over 6 weeks now and absolutely love it. The setup and instructions were quite easy in my opinion. The drinks are delicious and as good as my local specialty coffee shop. I make mostly espresso/milk drinks - cappuccinos, macchiatos, and lattes, as well as the Truebrew iced coffee drink (a must in Arizona!). I make 2-4 drinks per day for my wife and me. The drinks are small - 8-9mg of coffee grounds per drink (which makes a 5oz macchiato/cappuccino or 10oz latte). This may be too small for people who are used to 12-18oz drinks, but these small-size drinks have 60-70mg of caffeine per drink so I can do up to thee drinks a day without overdoing the caffeine. Cleaning routine is easy, parts disassemble easily and are easy to clean. I use the water filter that came with the machine and got the first "descale" notice this morning (probably after ~100 drinks, numerous rinse cycles, and 6 weeks of continuous use). I have used Lavazza Super Crema med-light roast and Lavazza Top Class medium roast espresso beans and like them both. Also, I highly recommend double-wall glass espresso mugs (I got the JoyJolt on Amazon). The small size (5.4oz) is the absolute perfect size for the machine's cappuccinos and macchiatos. Being able to see the beautiful coffee-latte layers just like you see in the photos makes the presentation so nice. Get the larger 13.5oz size for lattes and long coffees. This machine has truly been one of my most favorite things I've ever gotten. I'm all about reducing consumerism, simplifying, and not acquiring more and more "stuff" - but I do not regret this purchase.

Works great
This product is very sturdy. Works great. Takes some setting up but once it's set up you're good to go. Makes great coffee. Something to keep in mind when it comes to life of the machine and long term cost: the water softener is recommended for 2 month life span. The product comes with one to get you started. However after every use of the foamer you have to run a clean cycle and before it shuts off the machine runs a clean cycle. I also run a clean cycle if I will be long between uses so coffee doesn't dry and build up at the end of the spouts. The amount of water it uses isn't a lot however, that will effect the life of the softener since you'll have to add more water. I use Brita filtered water so it should help as well. All in all its a great, sturdy product. Easy to clean what needs to be cleaned. Does exactly what it's supposed to. A few extra bells a s whistles with Bluetooth connectivity and profile programming. I would recommend this product if youre willing to pay the peice tag. DeLonghi makes great products abs what sold me on this one is that it IS made in Italy. So I expect a higher standard of quality than products made in China.

Quality cup of coffee in under 5 minutes
Update 1/20: Updating to 5 stars. Customer service was professional and courteous. Ordered and shipped a new water tank same day, gave me reference and tracking numbers, and the replacement part arrived roughly 1 week later. Machine works great now and is the quickest way I've found to get quality coffee injected into my bloodstream in less than 5 minutes after waking up. Just make sure to inspect the tank, as that exposed plastic part can break easily if not handled with care. --- Original Review: Dead on Arrival Inspect all the parts as soon as you get your delivery. There's a plastic lip on the back of my water tank that came broken in half. This piece slots into an opening where the tank sits in the machine in order to register that the tank is inserted and ready to use. Because it's missing half of this piece, the machine doesn't recognize when the tank is inserted and will keep giving you an error message. I've only been able to bypass this by physically pressing and holding the entire tank firmly down. If I lift pressure off even slightly, error message and machine won't work. Contacting customer support for warranty / replacement, will update review after.
