YONICO Router Bits Pattern Bit Flush Trim 3/8-Inch Diameter 1/4-Inch Shank 14122q

When I grabbed the box I was sure that there had to be more than one bit inside because of the weight. When I opened the box and found the single bit inside I was surprised how robust it was. The bearing is large and heavy duty. This was exactly what I was looking for in a tracing bit.

Used to cut from a pattern and it worked excellent.

Used for making custom cabinet !

The bit performed ok for the first 15 mins(have only used the 1" bit so far) then the set screw came loose holding the bearing down and flew out dangerously. I managed to find another set screw (they are M3x4mm) and secured it with loctite, something that should have been done at the factory. Will see how it holds up and update review if necessary. But as delivered couldn't even finish one job before it flew apart. Bearing itself is gummy as well and slides rather than turns on the guide.

I purchased this bit to start a job while waiting for the Amana bit to be delivered to recess 320 fixed shutter slats into African Mahogany. The Amana bit broke in half on the third mortise while this Yonico bit handled the entire build!!! Highly recommend this router bit!

When chucked the bit and turned on my router (Bosch 1617) it was really loud. Cut was ok but I don’t know.

Vary satisfied with the performance of this router bit. I have used it to cut dados into the surface of a laminated kitchen worktop which it achieved with zero chip out of the laminate. Dado was made in several passes and was true and clean. Price even with postage from the US is very competitive and offers good value for the quality of these bits. Item arrived in very good time over a week before the earliest delivery due date. My only criticism is with this being a US company all bit measurements are in imperial which causes a bit of working round when working in metric. Overall very satisfied would recommend and will make further purchases of Yonico router bits.

It’s a nice big bit that cuts ok but the blades do not go to the bottom of the bit which is really irritating. It means you have to have a realsonably thick template to follow otherwise the none bladed part of the bit contacts the wood and prevents you cutting. Never come across a template bit like that before and would say it is a mistake. If I’d known I would not have bought it.

Used this for routing out some door hinges, very smooth bearing. Very good. No complaints.
