Not the sharpest for metal
These worked OK on soft and medium hard wood, but struggled to cut into low-grade stainless steel. I would recommend a better known brand with good reviews on metal, if that's how you are intending to use them.

quick to swap out and at two bucks per pit is a deal!
I have been looking for a new countersink set of bolts for quite some time and only found the ones with two or three cutting edges. I was surprised to find this set with not only five cutting edges or flute per bit, but also with six differently sized countersinks. The value of having different sizes is that they can be matched more readily to the size of screw head. I've used two of them and found that they are quite sharp and cut very aggressively. I would suggest that buyers be sure to run a couple of test cuts before using them on a piece of work. I wanted the quick change out notch that allows me to snap in and out of my impact driver or quick change chuck on my drill press.

A very good set of six for $8
Please read the update below. The original review: This is a set of six countersinks, starting at 6mm (~1/4") and going up from there. My set was $8, which is really inexpensive. REALLY, really inexpensive. ONE countersink is $8 at most hardware stores where I live.I am not a machinist, nor an expert on machining. I work with mostly wood, some aluminum, and some softer steels. So I cannot attest for how they would handle tough materials. For what I do, they are fine -- no problems yet. They have 5 cutting edges -- a lot of c-sinks have six, but this does not matter to me. They are mounted on quick change 1/4" hex shanks, which is handy.Keep drill speeds down, use cutting oil or other lube on metals, and I think they will serve you well. Thanks for reading.Updated Jan 2023: Having used the countersinks in my shop, I found that they are just TOO SOFT for use on steel or cast iron. Wood, brass, aluminum -- these are OK. Harder materials will damage the countersinks quickly. So (as usual) you get what you pay for. I will use them on softer materials, but will keep higher quality parts around for more demanding materials.

As a budget set of counter sinks these are good
At the price you pay these are good general purpose counter sinks. Since they have hex shanks you can use them in hex shank holders to countersink some materials by hand such as aluminum, plastics and wood. You might see some comments about chattering. Chattering is often caused by using higher or slower speeds than necessary or failing to properly align the bit properly. Many drill presses don't have speeds slow enough to use counter sinks properly and you should experiment on practice materials before trying it on a finished piece. Trying to use one speed on all materials is almost sure to cause problems. Also, don't forget to apply lube before countersinking. You don't need anything special, even WD40 will work, just practice a little and you find the best sized countersinks and the best speeds for the diameter of the hole. One other cause of chattering is too light a pressure on the bit and trying to start the countersink slowly. Even with a slightly warped countersink, if you apply a bit more pressure and don't feather in the bit the result will be a smooth and chatter free result.Don't forget, this is a basic countersink bit set and apply your expectations appropriately. If you claim to be some master machinist and compare these to high end bit you'll be dissappointed. If you get them for their intended purpose and use them on general projects they will work just fine. Considering the price, when they get dull either sharpen them or get fresh ones.

Fit well in Drill, Look Great, Not Sharpened enough
I am a contract Woodworker. When I received these bits, I set them aside until I needed some countersink. One of my workers ruined my old countersink bits when he hit a screw. I then opened these bits expecting them to easily make countersinks. I was used to countersink bits, that if you pressed down too hard, they would burrow into the wood, in other words sharp. These would just spin. Perhaps I had received a bad set, it was odd that none of them felt very sharp. I could press my finger against the edge, and it wouldn't cut. I ordered a different Brand DKIBBITH, which were more expensive. These cut fine. We do get what we pay for.

Gotta be patient
Gotta drill slowly with these. They will work if u have patience drilling

Best for wood and plastic
Use on Aluminum proven to reach limit of this tool and created poor quality results ( out of round countersink and dulled tool).

too dull - returning
Very dull - just gnawed at the wood and left a mess. Previous reviews mentioned going slow - I tried various speeds and nothing made a difference. Will return and not buy the "cheapest option" the next time around!I did like the hex shank - made easy to switch from drill to impact driver. Will look for that in my next set.

Average quality
The bits are useful sizes but I have found that they lost their sharp edges after minimal use. More expensive options might be more cost effective in the long run.

Don’t get what you pay for!!
Bought these bits as advertised that “supposedly “ comes with a storage box. I received the bits in a plastic bag with NO storage box at all. Total rip off. False information and advertising. Amazon will be contacted immediately, and I will follow up with the end result. In the meantime I would highly recommend NOT purchasing from this company!!!
