A superb birthday gift for my father. The light illuminates the dial perfectly, ideal for night viewing, and the figures are just the right size for visibility. It runs on a AA battery that's easy to install and the second hand moves silently round the dial without any annoying ticking. All in all, a great little clock that can be used in the home or away on your travels. I purchased this as part of my father's 89th birthday presents and he was happy to receive it. Many thanks!

The media could not be loaded. After growing tired of my large digital bedside alarm clock, I longed for one that was simple and small with an analogue display! The Pilmoux Alarm Clock is an ideal size for my bedside cabinet. Setting the time and alarm takes only seconds. The on/off switch is positioned on the right side and is so accessible, as too is the Snooze/Light button on top of the clock.The clock’s dial is clear during daylight and when the cabinet light is on at night. However, in the dark, the yellow numbers did illuminate immediately. When I woke up during the night, I noticed a dim light on the dial, I had to press the Light Button to discover the time! Nevertheless, this clock keeps accurate time.

The clock glows at night so very helpful to see the time.A Christmas gift so unable to comment further.

Nicely made wee clock with big numbers. The flaw is that it's not really luminous at all. Left it out in the sunshine all day but by the time I went to bed completely dark. This is compounded by the shape of the clock being squarish. So at top a d bottom of the clock face it's difficult to tell apart minute and hour hands as both extend over the numerals. Saving grace is the wee light that comes on when you press the button on the top. Going back to my 40 year old digital clock so I can s the time at a glance and keep my hands under the duvet. So much for eliminating un-needed electrical appliances in these times of soaring bills!

Great alarm clock, totally silent, the alarm doesn't deafen you to wake you up. Would recommend.

What a total waste of money .Cheapest of the cheap plastic. Put the battery in to test it . Set the alarm it went off 1/2 an hour before due !!, tried numerous times setting the alarm and will not operate the Alarm on time , total waste of money , cheap Chinese rubbish . Avoid it like the plague .

Clear and no loud ticking. A little wobbly but fits the bill. Could be louder on the alarm to make me get up more quickly! Happy really. Gwynneth

To address the main selling point of this clock: it is indeed very quiet. It's not silent, but unless you're holding it up to your ear you won't notice it making any noise. The alarm is good, it's one of those ones which gets more and more urgent the longer you leave it. I would have preferred the button on the top to switch it off rather than the sliding switch on the side though. Main issue is the luminous paint on the hands means it doesn't have great contrast with the back of the clock, meaning it can be hard to tell the time at a glance compared to a clock with solid black hands.
