Make sure you are using correct way, if not you will get a angle cut. Went through sch40 2" with ease. I bought this extra blade to have on hand

The replacement blade itself is the same as the original blade but it is a little challenging to actually replace into the handle. You have to get it into a certain angle in the handle and then press down against a spring at the same time trying to ensure that you don’t cut yourself on the blade. It always takes me a few tries to get it right and can be a little frustrating. The instructions on how to change the blades make it seems super easy but it is nowhere near as simple as just following the instructions and photos. There really isn’t any other choices for this replacement blade so I would recommend this. I wish that the sharpness would remain consistent as I have had to purchase replacement blades a few times a year.

Already wrote a review for the pvc cutter and referenced the blade . It's defective and was purchased as a replacement to the pvc cutter blade that came with it was also defective in the same manner . The results are that it doesn't open back up with you attempt to spread both handles apart as intended , it locks up and will need a flathead to unlock it

This PVC cutter is actually a great deal. Getting a replacement blade that fits makes it an even better deal.
