GOBUDDY Super Absorbent Pet Training Puppy Pads 22” x 22” – 100 Count (100-Count)

I have had a problem with my cats urinating in one of corners of the house. I spent a lot of money on pet stain/odor removal products, and let me tell you...it can get expensive and it doesn't really get the stains out, so now I need an alternative.Last week my daughter told me about the lemon scented pee pads, and suggested that I try them to remedy my dilemma. I have to be honest I was a little skeptical because I have never heard of such a product worried that the lemon scent would not mask the smell, and I wouldn't think my cats would use them...Yesterday I received the pads, and I immediately place one down in the corner where the cats do their business. I came home from work today and I found that my cats not only used the pee pad, but it also did not not smell like urine... all I could smell was lemon scent...The pads are thin but non leak and very absorbent. No worries on staining the floor or carpets. I highly recommend purchasing the pee pads if you have a dog or cat, you regret it...two thumbs up.... thanks guys for helping me fix my problem

I really wanted to give this product more stars, but the pads only have two sides to protect from leaking. This product is okay for tile floors that don’t absorb liquids. It’s true that there is no urine smell.So here is my situation: 2 small dogs use these pads. I despise perfumes added to anything. Pee smells mixed with perfumes are yuck. I need pee pads to absorb dog urine overnight and on days the yard is treated for mosquitoes (I know mosquito control is a losing battle when other neighbors and the city and county don’t do their fair share, but at least the pets get a few days of peace to enjoy the outside.) I have a physical challenge, so “convenience” is more than a word. These pads are helpers because I cannot train the puppies as I have in the past. I have to modify everything.So here is what I wish I had known before purchasing these pads:1) Yes they leak. Now let me qualify that statement.In the photo you will see two white stripes. Those two white stripes seem to slow down the spread of the urine. The urine will pass those stripes, but at a very slow rate. Now that you understand the white stripes, let’s move on to the solid sides.Most of the time (emphasis on the word “most”) the urine will capillary leak over the edge of the solid side. When the urine leaks over the edge, that urine is a hot mess to clean because the pee is underneath the plastic and stays wet.I use the pads on tile. I can’t imagine risking these pads on carpeting. If the pads are immediately replaced, there will be no capillary leakage. If your pet pees in the middle or close to the middle of the pad, there will be no leakage. My pets go pee on the pad wherever they think is a good spot. I have two pets using the pads. I use multiple pads. I tried overlapping the pads. I have not found a system that works. Photos are provided that prove my point. Sometimes seeing is believing as my mother (now deceased) used to say.2) These pads can absorb a lot of liquid. I used 1/2 cup of water in the photos which is about how much the female puppy produces. I also included a photo of the top layer that keeps the top layer dry like a diaper. The inner layer becomes heavy as it absorbs the fluid.3) The urine does not stink. The poo stinks because the poo stays on top. On a particularly hot mess morning of leakage and poo because someone awoke very early and did not let them out to do their business, I awoke to a very hot mess. (Nature’s Miracle has become a trusted helper as an odor remover and more.) The urine had traveled under the pads. The pads were completely saturated. They did their poo on the pads which I was both thankful and repelled. Puppies are not hard to train. We people are hard to train.I noticed that the top of the pads had no odor ~ curious. I have included a photo of a puppy using the pad so you can see that the puppies use the pad.4) At first the puppies would not use the pad. Now they do. They were fearful of the pad for a few days. I put a Go Buddy Lemon Scent pad and charcoal pad side by side and they preferred the lemon scent pad - but I suspect it was the white color that they had already been trained to use. Yes I have a spray attractant. I am training them away from white pads. They’re pretty smart. Within a few days they were using the charcoal pads.5) Does your puppy shred the pee pads? Mine does. The problem with the white pads is that the male chews and tears the white pads. Yes he has lots of chewing options that he likes, but he considers the pads a special treat. Clean pads? He shreds them. I could only put the white pads down when he was very sleepy then awake to another hot mess. I thought I would try the charcoal. He does not shred the charcoal colored pads.Will I purchase this product again? Maybe - if I can find a solution to the capillary action causing the overflow. I don’t know why a company would not protect all the sides. I don’t use the pads everyday because they usually have access to a pet door. I am thinking that some masking or painters tape over the unprotected edges may possibly protect from leakage. It’s a shame that the manufacturer did not protect all the sides. Your situation will likely be totally different than mine, but I hope my story has helped you decide if this product is best for your situation - and gave you a smile.

Very surprised at the quality of the pads, works just as well as store bought brands for a lower cost. The pads we usually purchase are $13 for 30. I noticed the review about the odor which had me worried though when I got my package there was no noticeable scent from the pads at it had me expect. Definitely going to be buying more in the future.The only bad thing was the size, they're a bit small, though not by much and my dogs are also small so it's not too much of an issue.

Very disappointed with the quality of these puppy pads. We have an elderly kitty with kidney failure and she frequently misses the litter box, so we use puppy pads to protect our wooden floors. I normally use AKC brand pads in the same size as these, but with far superior results. I tried these when the AKC pads were not available, and I am sorry I did.At first glance, these pads appear quite well made, and they are a generous size. However, the severely lack in absorbancy. Our cat does not urinate copious quantities, and we change the pads several times daily. However, even with just a single use, the urine will either soak through the pad, or run off the pad and seep underneath it.I will be returning to the AKC brand and will not buy these again. They may seem like good value, but they simply failed to perform to a level I would rate as satisfactory.

(See below for edited review, something has changed and they are terrible!!) I was doubtful when I pulled out the pads that they would absorb like I was needing. Wow did they! I am so pleased with these pads. They do not leak through to the floor. They absorb well enough that urine doesn’t leak off of the edges. They are great and I’m sold having already gotten my second order. I got the lemon scented regular sized pads both times. I’m super happy with the performance of these pads.Now to just get my little boy pup to stand in the middle every time. ;)Edited:The last batch I purchased were amazing; never leaking, quick to absorb, everything you want in a pee pad. I don’t know if the distributor changed who they get the pads from but the last two batches have been terrible. They leak off the sides and even when I flip them over to clean up the urine that has leaked they don’t even absorb that. What happened???

I have a 14 year old dog that is incontinent most of the time. These pads save me so much work and keep moisture away long enough to keep him comfortable until I can remove them. The price is so reasonable compared to other similar products. Very happy with product and company!
