Not straight forward to setup
I bought this to replace a 5 year old Hive thermostat that has started eating a set of batteries per week (known issue apparently).Negatives...The Amazon description when you scroll down, suggests that the starter pack comes with a radiator head, but it doesn't. That was the first disappointment. Next, the wiring plate uses its own wiring plan that differs from the Hive and a previous thermostat/timer that I had used, so it's not plug and play. Setup of the WiFi and App was also problematic because when power was removed after initial setup, it forgot everything including the schedules, so I needed to go through it all again - perhaps something needs to charge up before it remembers settings through a power cycle - we will see.Positives...The thermostat display appears to be e-ink, it's nice and clear. It works fine on a dual band WiFi hub (others have said it doesn't)The app is a bit clunky, but has everything you need, it's just harder to find things compared to the Hive app.I supports high voltage and no-voltage switched combi-boilers

A very smart heating system
I did a lot of research and was glad to find that Wunda who Have a great reputation in underfloor heating, were now making smart heating products. This system so far has not disappointed and is a big upgrade on my last so called smart system which wasn’t very. It was installed quickly by our electrician and so far it works even better than expected. Need a few more smart thermostats and the house and controlled heating will be complete.

WundaSmart is "wunderful"
This is my first product from the Wunda group and after a week of use, I can confirm this product is worth every penny; on top of that, it was cheaper than the other branded competition. The design of the head is simple with easy to reach buttons on top that allow for increase or decrease in temperature. However, once it is installed, you will not need to touch it again as everything can be managed by the easy to use versatile app. I am an iPhone user, and I searched “Wunda” on the App Store and it was the top hit. The app itself has a nice minimalist design language, which allowed me to see the temperature at a glance. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had an iPad version of the app too, this was ideal as this house has a family iPad mounted on the kitchen wall, and the intuitive control system made it so that my whole family and me were able to understand and use it. Setting up automation was effortless. I will now look to purchase more and have those all setup with my Alexa home automation. I also really like knowing that I am using this and none of my data usage is being analysed or collected. The last thing to note is that the radiator head runs on two AA batteries.

Easy to use and keeps the rooms you want comfotable when you want them to be
Ok The major selling point for this system to me is how it has room stats that pair with the smart TRV's and I confirm it does exactly what is says i.e. give you complete control of every room at a reasonably accurate temperature.I am well impressed with how connected it stays having experience of another brand whcih had frequent issues with keeping TRV's connected and actually keeping the room at the temperature you wanted as thye claimed it would. Well it didn't and it got sent back but that at least showed me what are smart heating system should be and when I spotted this Wundasmart system I knew if it was executed well it would actually work.So It arrived begining of the new year and it was easy to fit for a some one competent at DIY. The hub uses the same type of plate as most standard central heating controller units although you do need to use the plate that comes with it. The instructions are straightforward and the number was the same as my old controller so it was wired like for like. The valves all fitted very easily and the pairing process was first time everytime because it uses wifi which just makes it so much better than anything else out there. No issues with only supporting a minimal number of valves and temperature sensors. Fit them pair them and move on. Took a few hours to install them all and get it set up. The interface is easy on the phone and walks you through it all perfectly. Despite it being the middle of winter (the potential for major issues on a heating system is not something you want) it worked and was controlling heating how I wanted that night.Using for a month now and had to call support a couple of times to ask about a couple of things but they are very responsive and knowledgable. So A* there. It keeps the rooms heated and comfortable at the temperatures we want when we want pretty much without fail. When it doesn't it's because us humans messed up the settings everytime but it's very easy to work out what happened and fix with the app which is so intuitive you can just start using it pretty much without the instructions most likely. Now after all that smoke blowing why only 4 stars? Well one of the reasons is we have a Y-Plan wiring system whicc is not uncommon in the UK I believe but unfortunately it doesn't support it completely as it can't handle the hot water needing to be on when the heating needs to be on so it won't turn it on. This may be due to the way ours is wired but I don't believe so as the other system I tried could do it. What is so hard about having a setting that says turn the hot water on when the heating is on? It's not difficult to work around with the app but it's probably responsible for a fair few of the human errors. There is also a boost that allows you to pick various rooms to control from the boost buttons, great works like a conventional controller as most have that. Problem is although it allows you to pick hot water to boost it won't turn it on. Weird. Thankfully we haven't needed it as the app is so easy to use.The otherthing is the remote thermostats, which are wonderful by the way to look at and very easy to see with the e-ink display, are not very responsive and I have some reservations about their accuracy. I also think the system tries to be too clever and control how a room heats to temperature by opening the TRV proportionately to what temperature you have set the room to. I would prefer if paired with a stat the TRV becomes dumb and is either fully on of fully off. That way the room would get to temperature faster the shut the valve so the heat in the system can be used on other rooms or turned off to save money.Although it says it could save you money I am not convinced it will but that depends how you used to use your heating system. We used it the way this does it by manually turning off rooms we weren't using etc... which is the main way this should save you money. However one issue with the manual method is it's easy to forget to do it. Walking into a cold house over Christams because you forgot to set the timer is not much fun. Neither is walking into a cold bedroom when you are going to bed because you forgot to turn the TRV's to on. Thankfully the system has already proved it's worth there. Bedrooms are warm when they are supposed to be, house can be turned on remotely. All works well. And the killer reason you should buy this system over others? It doesn't need the internet to keep working. No internet? No problem the app and the system still works inside the house. Ok you won;t get remote control in that instance but at least everything will still work in your house.

Great Product
This has given us the control to stop wasting energy heating areas that don't need it at particualr times. The app is also great and very easy to use. Would recommend

Energy Efficien way to keep your house heated...Great Product
Have alway been a bit dubious about smart heating, but with recent energy price increases, decided to take the leap and see if we would save a little money here and there. With a huge house to heat, and only 2 of us living here, we agreed that this would be the most efficient way to only heat rooms which we require to be heated, the fact it can be done at the touch of a button is amazing. App is really easy to use, Installation was hassle free and the no data collection was a huge selling point for us. Overall , Highly recommended!!

It won’t let you down…
As their blurb says, because it will never work in the first place. If you have a dual band router (and most have now) it will not connect even though everything is set to 2.4GHz. Returned.

Perfect for saving money
One of the things I have been concerned about whilst working from home is wasting money by heating up the whole house even though I only wanted to heat a specific area. The WundaSmart Smart Radiator has helped solve that issue, it is easy to use, subtle in design and does exactly what I need it for so I will highly recommend it to others.
