Coffee is fantastic, excellent value and taste is very smooth. Makes good espresso flavor, aroma and it reminds me of Europe, fits well in the Nespresso classic machine.

Great tasting decaf

Illy makes some great espresso and I love that it ships with aluminum capsules that I can recycle with my regular Nespresso pods. They taste amazing and mostly authentic to what I remember Italian coffee tasting like.My issue is in the shipping and handling of the product. I’ve had very mixed results. The photos on this show the more typical experience. The items have the Amazon “new” sticker but clearly they got mishandled somewhere along the line. One box wasn’t even sealed/glued properly and the other looks like someone opened it before it even got to me. The end flap was also not glued down. Because of this several of the capsules are dented and thus not useable due to the way the Nespresso machine works. $9 a box for maybe a half useable box. That’s frustrating and even more infuriating that Amazon won’t return or replace them. Oh well.Know that you’ll get some great tasting quality Illy coffee but depending on where it shops from ymmv for the packaging.

It is pretty good but not as good as Nespresso. Normally, I use two nespresso pods (12 strength). I needed at least 3 Illy pods for similar strength/flavor. I like strong coffee and only order 12 strength. I am trying to find an alternative to Nespresso since they increased their price in 2025.

UPDATE JUN 11 2024I figured I'd give these one more try but I don't know why I bothered. The condition of my most recent order was even worse and while I love this coffee, I'm not ordering these through Amazon again. The box was torn open this time and crushed, and again I had crushed and unusable pods. The only way to get a refund is by making a request through Customer Service.It's not worth the effort, wasted money, and wasted time. These pods are so good that I kept giving the benefit of the doubt, but save yourself the hassle and wasted money and just buy them elsewhere if you can. I've only ever received two orders thst weren't damaged, don't make the mistake I made and keep trying. I'm over it lol.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I generally try not to review an item based on the shipment packaging or condition of the package when it arrives. I understand that with Amazon it's not really the vendor's fault. However, when it's such a consistent issue with a product that relies on keeping it's structure to work properly, I think it's important for other customers to be prepared.I order these somewhat regularly and lately I will consistently get at least two crushed pods per order. I'm not sure if this is an issue with how they're picked or how they're handled during delivery, but at this point it's become frustrating. These need to hold their shape to work in a nespresso machine, and they're nearly useless when they're crushed like this. Returning them would be a hassle when you order these specifically to arrive when you're about to run out. I know it's a small inconvenience, but I think the least I can expect is for my pods to arrive intact.I have to say that I really love the quality and convenience of the pods themselves. The coffee is amazing and for many reasons I don't buy coffee at chain coffee shops anymore, so these have been great. I almost exclusively use illy's pods now, and I've tried many other brands and roasts/ flavors. People in the office loved these pods and they didn't last long when we had them in stock. If you have them available to you anywhere else, I recommend buying them from some other source unless you're prepared to play crush roulette with Amazon.

First I'm a very picky and "snob" (auch) espresso drinker. I buy Nespresso for my office,but with the rise in $ of their free shipping had to try something else. Have tried Lavazza and a few other Italian brands. ILLY is smooth, velvety, and rich, with a really good taste for a decaf.

Delicious flavor

I really enjoyed this pods but recently I've been getting some defective ones. They look completely fine on the surface but there are issues with my Nespresso being able to puncture through the pod to brew, and just today one came out crushed after trying to brew it. Seem to be some QC issues with these. Otherwise, amazing flavor when they brew right! Photos shown is an example of a defective pod...wasn't able to be punctured and got distorted after the brew attempt.
