Scat, Cat]

I bought this book to read to the preschool I read to every Wednesday. The children absolutely LOVED it. I taught them that every time Scat, Cat is said they should put their hand out and scream SCAT, CAT! They have begged me to read it over and over. I love the ending. I was hoping that would happen. Thank you for such a sweet book!

This was a gift for a beginning reader who loves animals. With cute illustrations, repetitive phrasing, many words with the "short a" pattern, it was a fun and successful read. Little ones especially enjoyed the "SCAT, CAT!" read (yelled) with conviction by siblings. The theme, "will the cat find a home" is very relatable for kids.

Very good book for beginner readers. Simple, repetitive word structure helps kids to memorize the book and learn sight words. Fun story!

My granddaughters favorite book!

Awww, what a sweet little book! Poor kitten, he is lost...everyone is telling him "SCAT CAT!" Except for one little boy. Very cute book. We love it.
