Works perfectly with FDRS on 24 F-250 updating modules.
Product works perfectly with Ford FDRS, is high quality and is at a reasonable price point. Some feel that the price is high but for the quality of the product and their support, as well as comparing to the other officially supported options such as Bosch, this device is 1/4 the price. If you need to use FJDS/FDRS the Mongoose is the way to go. Plus it will work with FORScan. In the future I will be purchasing the SuperGoose and have zero reservations.I had the opportunity to work with Opus/Drew customer service and cannot say enough good things. The gentleman that assisted me was very responsive and corrected an issue that wasn’t really the fault of theirs.

Great Product
Great Product with Great Customer ServiceToyota Mongoose Cable:I purchased a Drew Technologies Toyota MFC2 (green case) that was USB only a few years ago. Have a couple Toyota’s myself as well as few more with friends and family that I look after occasionally. I concluded I had saved enough with DIY and had enough Toyota’s to justify the cost of an official cable for troubleshooting. Being a DIY’er I didn’t think the Bluetooth option was worth the extra cost as little as I was expecting to use it compared to a shop. The cable was hassle free and worked every time after activating Techstream.I ended up using it more than I expected as my Toyota’s are aging. Found it annoying to be tethered with a USB cable trying to troubleshoot. Had to walk back and forth so much checking the screen while taking readings or listening for sounds while Techstream was doing a test. Decided I would upgrade to Bluetooth if a new Mongoose version was released, and sure enough it did recently.Purchased the Toyota version of the new line of Mongoose-Plus, with Bluetooth this time around. Been great to be wireless; I can walk around with a Windows tablet in hand or sit in a comfy chair troubleshooting an issue. A nice upgrade, the USB cable is detachable for all versions including USB only. It uses a USB-A connector and has screws to secure it. Nice feature if the cable is damaged, for example closing it in a car door. The new case seems even more robust than the prior version as well. Bluetooth connection is easy and reliable, pair it once and the interface driver takes care of the rest when Techstream first loads. An upgrade as well, this version has external status lights.OPUS Customer Service:I had the chance to experience customer service from OPUS IVS, the now owner of Drew Technologies. I purchased through the new OPUS IVS store on Amazon, with the cable shipped / fulfilled by Amazon. When it arrived, I could not get the Bluetooth to work. After reading the user guide, I suspected I was sent a USB only version by mistake. I contacted OPUS through Amazon’s help system – within minutes I had a response with a phone number, a real number not an 800.When I called, it was the desk phone of an OPUS sales manager at their main office in Michigan. We talked, emailed some pictures, and internal discussion on their end. Not sure how it happened, but indeed I had been sent a USB only version. The sales manager called me back a couple times with updates throughout the day as things progressed. By that afternoon they had a Bluetooth version with FedEx for overnight delivery. Top notch customer service on resoling that issue – mistakes happen, and they made it right as fast as possible.

2025 Explorer ST & 2024 F150 LARIAT FDRS Programming
I installed the Keyless Entry Wired Keypad (Part # LB5Z7820555E) on my 2025 Explorer ST. I could not get FORScan to activate it due to how new the vehicle is. I purchased the Mongoose Plus Ford2 Adapter to program the Ford Wired Keyless Entry Keypad via FDRS. The process took about 3 minutes and was very simple. I was also able to update a problematic ABS module that would throw soft DTC's for whatever reason. Once the update was installed, no more faults with the ABS module. I also used this on my 2024 F150 to update some modules that were needed. I have read some reviews about receiving the device used and already activated. I received my Mongoose adapter sealed in the box with a clear, round sticker. No Bag, the cable is twist tied and connected to the Mongoose. You will be prompted to activate the device by entering your personal info. If you receive an adapter that does not prompt you to activate, you may have received someones Amazon Return. The Adapter build quality is very good. The cable is USB-A to B and screws into the adapter. The cable is high quality, heavy duty, shielded and has strain relief on both cable ends. All in all this adapter is great and is the least expensive adapter supported by FDRS. While this will program new modules, perform updates, clear DTC's, etc., you will still need FORScan to modify things like disabling ASS, Bambi Mode, etc. AFAIK, FDRS does not offer the ability to modify those settings. Would definitely recommend. You get what you pay for!

Absolute joke
Spend almost $800 on a cable for work and you expect it to work right? Nope first time I tried using it the Bluetooth wouldn’t work at all, I got their internal tech support involved and they believe it’s an internal issue with the device. Day #2 device won’t connect at all even hard lines. Okay so let’s return it and get a different one. Let’s pack it up and take it to ups. Now I find out it’s going to take over a month to get a refund. It’s April 28th currently. Device is dropped off and it is saying I won’t have my refund until June 5th. Absolutely insane especially when they are selling tools to be used commercially.

Works great with Toyota GTS+
If you do your own car maintenance this is a requirement. If you have a newer Toyota this and GTS+ ($70 for 2 day license) allowed me to change 10 "dealer" only options and add a $60 key fob. Dealer price was $380 for new key and $100 for first option and $75 for each additional. That puts me on the +500 side of breakeven.

Saved me so much $$ from dealer
I have a 2021 Silverado lm2 that had a P041c code. Took it to dealer. They wanted 15k for new wiring harness and new ecu. Found out through them though it was caused by a short. Ran an over lay. Installed a new ecu and used this bad boy to flash it. Worth every penny. Quality feels great. Easy to use. Did not have any problems with connection during flashing.
