My mom loves her new doggie!!
The media could not be loaded. About 3 months ago we had to put my mom’s 16 year old dog to sleep. My mom was so lonely so I went online to see if there was a fake dog that seems real for people with Alzheimer’s. I found this on Amazon & thought I’d buy it for my mom to see how she’d like it. She absolutely loves her new, low maintenance, doggie. Every time I go to her house, she shows me her and loves talking to her. We say it’s a she and her name is Lilly. I am so happy I bought this for my mom and would highly recommend it!! I did a little video of when I gave it to her to share with my siblings since they couldn’t be there.

REOCCURING ISSUE
I truly don't want to write this review but feel I need to so that an issue with this product can be addressed. I have ordered 3 of this product. The first one was returned because all of a sudden the barking and tail wagging was going in a continuous loop and we couldn't stop it. This occurred within the window of return so I was able to get the second one as an even exchange. My husband has dementia and he loves "Raymond". He calls him his "buddy". So I definitely wanted him replaced. Well, Raymond #2 experienced the very same problem. The issue is it didn't start until the return window had closed. As a result, I had to purchase Raymond #3. This did not make me very happy but I could not disappoint my husband by not having a workable Raymond. I am extremely disappointed that this keeps happening. I considered going to a different company but my husband is attached to his "black nosed" Raymond. I hope this issue that keeps occurring can be addressed by the company so that future customers will not suffer the same experience. I am praying that Raymond #3 will continue to work properly as it is today. We love him but we need him to work.

*Update* Wonderful for children with special needs
The media could not be loaded. *Update* December 12thIt broke after 4 months of use, the motors of the eyes and mouth stopped working, and just barks and moves head around. A burning smell came with the broken motor and it scared me so I took the batteries out. When I put them back in there was a strange sound and eyes and mouth never worked again. For the price it should have lasted way longer, I’m givin it 1 star even though my daughter still loves her.***I bought this for my family, specifically for my 6 year old daughter who has sensory hypersensitivity as a way to relax her when we go to a new place since getting out of the rutine is sometimes very stressful for her specially if its somewhere crowded and noisy.I cannot tell you how in love she felt with this robot-dog. She loved her inmediatly as we turn the siwtch on, and felt very comfortable hugging her and talking to her like it’s a real dog. I know that for her needs we would have needed a therapy or emotional support real dog, but we live in a small apartment and have two rabbits, so adding a real dog would have been madness. “Penny” as she called this joy for all pup has been wonderful accompanying us everyday on the drop off and pick up from school. My daughter strokes her often and the soft barks can calm her and make her think of something else when she’s stressed or anxious.I’ve read so many reviews before purchasing and was a litte worried of how this would work with a kid since it’s advertised for people with Alzheimer’s or dementia. But I have to tell you, this robot dog is much more than what’s advertised. It reacts to different lightning, my husband being an electronic Engineer noticed that it has some sensors in her pupils that makes her react to shadows and lights. It makes her bark in a soft cute way that just makes everyone smile. Also, the “barkback” technology that it comes with is wonderful because you really think that is answering to you. It has many different barks so you can’t (and we’ve tried) to figure out what’s the pattern but it seems very random although it makes perfect sense as it imitates a real dog. I grew up surrounded by dogs and let me tell you this robot pup is very well programmed.Only cons I see is that when you pick it up or leave it on the couch or bed you have to be very aware of giving enough space for the tail, as it wags and makes a strong sound when it doesn’t have room to move. Also I think it needs more balance on the hind legs or bottom part because if it’s not on a flat surface it falls on the sides. The only reason I’m not giving the Five Stars is because I can’t make the heartbeat work, I’ve tried everything and still can’t hear a single beat. I’m going to contact Ageless Innovations for this, and I hope it’s nothing too serious as I don’t think my daughter wants to separate from “Penny”.I 100% recommend this dog for children with special needs.

God-Send
I don't really write reviews, but this was really a God-send. My husband's grandmother is suffering from dementia and recently lost her dog. I didn't want to offend her by getting her this, because she is still very 'with it' a lot of the time. She warmed up to it within minutes and now it is with her all the time. She snuggles it, talks to it, and even tries to comfort it by talking about her old dog when it wines. It is really beautiful to see how much comfort it gives her, and I'm so grateful to the person who thought of this <3

Mom is 90. This is her best friend.
This pet dog is perfect for mom. She's almost 90 and loves dogs. A real pet is too much for her but after losing her husband for 41 years she was very lonely. She takes this dog everywhere on her walker and in the bed when she sleeps. Perfect product. She's had it for at least 16 months now with no issues. Buy it. You will love it.
