I wasn't sure about using these for fermentation of kombucha, but they fit one gallon mason jar perfectly, heat evenly and kept the liquid between about 78 to 82, the rubber bands to hold it on are high quality, and the temperature probe is easy to read. Perfect setup for fermentation. Very happy with this purchase.

Although there is no temperature control, the temperature was just right and very consistent. Helped my seeds to germinate quickly. The 10 x 20 is the perfect size for my seedling trays.

Tried to use this for a bread proofing box made from a Sterilite tote.. House was 72, this pad could only get it up to 78. The controller worked fine, and with a 75 watt bulb, this controlled the heat to 85, and the box heated up in no time. Just get a controller if you want a proofing box.Updating this. After seeing my review, the seller sent me another pad and controller. Tried it again. I set up the pad in an inverted Sterilite box. Put a thermocouple on the pad and the sensor 5 inches above the pad. The pad did get to 110F, but the box only hit 74 (Room at around 70). So it did help, but I like to proof my bread around 80F, and if the hose gets colder in the winter, not sure the pad will do the job. I am moving my rating from 2 to 4 stars because it is working as advertised (reaching 110F) and the seller was prompt in reaching out to me. And the controller works just fine. It may work for seeds, I don't know, but while some people use his for bread, I can't say it works for that purpose. The controller is working for a light bulb I use to heat the box, and that is ideal.Updated - tried this again in winter. Put reflective mylar insulation underneath. Keeps the box at 72-74F now. Haven't tried hotter, but this is working well for a slow proof at that temp. House temp is 68-70, so working well.

These are perfect for trays of seedlings and cuttings. Keeps them just warm enough

I bought this heating mat maybe two months or more ago for my ball python and needless to say I LOVE it. Unfortunately, it was NOT warm enough to just place underneath the enclosure (Which is all glass) so I had to put it inside and bury it underneath the substrate but in a way, this is also a pro because due to that he doesn't run the risk of, nor has he been burned. Hell Furi sometimes likes to burrow into his substrate and lay beneath the mat but when I've checked on him he's perfectly fine! I use this alongside an additional and standard reptile heat pad (for the hot side) and his temperatures have been perfect since. He's a very happy boy indeed. It's been especially useful during the cold season seeing as I have no heat currently.Unfortunately, there's no adhesive or anything to actually flatten or tape it to the bottom but the pressure of the substrate seems to have fixed that. Albeit so if you intend to stick it somewhere you're gonna have to apply adhesive yourself.

Ok so I have a quartz desk. Looks great nice feel. But it’s winter and it’s bone chilling. Impossible to work on. Looked into desk/ counter heaters. Look at floor heaters wall heater you name it. Thanks to Amazon this came up in searches. I used 3m super 90spray tack to cling this to bottom of the stone desk in the chair well area, to heat up the top of my legs and warm the stone to keep my forearms and hands warm. AMAZING. you can set it and forget it. Find the temp that works for you. I’m not looking for a hot desk, so I set to 72 degrees Fahrenheit, thermostat kicks in +/- 2 degrees. Desk is now same temp as room and perfect. Low cost perfect solution. Side note: I let this heat and flatten a bit before attaching to make a smooth application.

The thermostat controller is a little confusing to set up but only have to do it once. Working great.

I am currently using it to start seeds for the first time. The set up was very easy and I love the timer on it. It came rolled in the packaging and that worried me a bit from reviews of other heating mats I had looked at saying that they wouldn't stay flat. These mats laid flat right after pulling it out of the packaging, so my seeds pots are flat on the table and not chance of tipping over. My only negative review is that I went to buy another set of these because I like my first one so much, but they are all sold out!
