I wasn't sure if this is a genuine SawStop product. It is - shipped directly from SawStop.
Worked perectly in my SawStop Jobsite machine. Removing the activated brake was a nightmare, but once out of the way, replacing it with the new one was a piece of cake.

Works as advertised.
I stupidly thought the blade had stopped and placed a metal ruler against the blade. Brake fired but blade didn’t drop. Brake touched the blade but only scratched the plastic label.

It works!!
Buying this as a replacement. Building a table and partially glued up one joint, left it to cure overnight. Came back in the morning and mid way through trimming, the safety system tripped with a big thunk! WTF, why? Checked the kerf and the glue was still moist. Nice to know the system works as advertised. Incredibly quickly as well. Learned a lesson about letting Titebond cure fully.

I Love These Things…
I’m getting really good at installing these things. Up to four so far. No complaints though; the damned things work!Actually haven’t put any flesh into the blade, though. Well, not exactly. First time, a friend was ripping twelve-foot 2x4’s and, thank God, hit a nail. The saw is not made for such use. Then I grabbed a just cut piece of wood AFTER shutting the saw off. Yup, touched the blade as it stopped moving… almost. Bang! ‘worked perfectly. It did no damage to the blade.Next, I touched the blade with the miter guage. SawStop seems to be fail proof… again. One complaint: these should be sold in a discount Four Pack!
