Super versatile and strong product
We did not buy 2 sets of these to hang lights but rather to hang 50% shade cloth tarp - clearly not what they were intended for but they are working perfectly. Anything that we looked at was too short so we decided to buy 4 poles and cannibalize one in order to make 3 super tall ones. The metal strength is up to the task as are all the attachments. We threw this up really fast and it can use an adjustment or two in order to look really nice. We only have 2 modified poles up using part of an existing structure for the present. The shade cloth is attached using locking D-rings to hold it to the top - a tent pole type top would have been great but you use what is provided. The engineering is superb. Because both the top and the bottom use set screws to hold it in place you can achieve whatever rotation is required. The male engineer did the pounding for the base before leaving the country leaving the short female engineer to add the D-ring, screw all the poles together, and then fish the D-ring over the top of the poles - all of which took about 10 minutes mostly used for carrying the tallest ladder to add the D-ring. The tarp dimensions are 8'x16' so it is about 11 feet in the air.To enable success, we did account for the directions of stress to improve the chances of success. The end pole has its long prongs parallel to the tarp to allow for both the weight of the 16-foot-long tarp pulling to the center and down. The middle pole has its long prongs perpendicular to the tarp to account for the wind blowing it back and forth. So everything we did may have violated any warranty but if so we did what we needed to do. It would be great if Mutovlin would make a taller set, sell sets of more than just 2 poles, and maybe white poles. If this is the worst that 2engineers can say about this then it is a pretty darn sturdy product.

Two Thumbs Up!
I recently purchased a set of string light poles, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. These poles have transformed my outdoor space into a magical retreat, perfect for any occasion. First and foremost, the quality of these poles is outstanding. They are sturdy and well-constructed, providing excellent support for my string lights even in windy conditions. The installation was a breeze, thanks to the clear instructions and all the necessary hardware included in the package. The sleek, elegant design of the poles blends seamlessly with any decor, adding a touch of sophistication to my backyard. I've received countless compliments from friends and family, all of whom are amazed at the transformation these poles have brought to my space. Additionally, the poles are weather-resistant, ensuring they remain in excellent condition throughout the year. This durability gives me peace of mind, knowing that my investment will last for many seasons to come.Overall, I highly recommend these string light poles to anyone looking to enhance their outdoor area. They are a game-changer, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that is perfect for any gathering. If you're considering adding string lights to your outdoor space, these poles are an absolute must-have!

Sturdy and stand up well in the earth
We have LED outdoor string lights (the larger "restaurant" style) around most of the backyard and run them every night. Properly dimmed, it makes the yard more inviting for the dogs and less so for the various critters around here. And it's just kind of pretty. I needed a couple of poles for one area where there is no natural tree branch to support them, and dug through all the Amazon models before settling on these, which looked to have a robust system for spiking them into the ground, which was what I needed. These have worked about perfectly. They are solidly built, screwed together properly, and are straight and strong when assembled, which did take a bit of fiddling. There are instructions, but you have look carefully at which pieces are threaded "out" or "in" to get the middle pieces in the right order. The top sections have screws to secure the wire brackets, but one of the poles did not have the screw holes fully punched through, although this was not a huge deal in that the screws still tightened down well enough. The U-shaped wire support brackets on the top ultimately work, but are a little weirdly designed. I believe you are supposed to fit the wire through two flat pieces that fit between two bolts and sit at the bottom of the U, but instead of fitting all the way on the bolts, there is a hole on one end of each flat piece, and an open slot on the other. It all works well enough when you tighten everything down, but leaving one end of the bracket open keeps it from fully securing. This might be a safety measure so that if the pole falls down, it may allow the wire to slip free, but the instructions did not say and it's not an ideal design. However, my wires have stayed in place for several months now with no problems, despite winds and rain aplenty. I did have to set them up again once when my own tree trimming knocked one down, and it was a little awkward but nothing was broken, and the wire was not damaged. The star feature in my opinion is the ground stake system, which has long, strong spikes and has a very solid additional set of spikes that folds perpendicular to the other spikes to form a large "X" at the base. Stomp these down into reasonably solid earth and they aren't going anywhere easily.Overall these are quite solid and should hold your string lights securely. The black poles virtually disappear into the background, and are invisible at night, so they look fine as well. I am deducting a single star because the wire mounting system is slightly wonky, but they do work and I would buy them again, and will get more if I need them.Four spiky stars

10' String Light Poles Are Exactly What We Needed
These metal poles are exactly what I was needed to raise our string lights higher so that people didn't walk into them. We stuck them directly into the ground and they are hidden behind our very tall bushes so that you can barely see the pole part, just where the string lights are hooked onto them. The stake part that you stick in the ground is forked and 4 sided so when you put it in the ground, it stays there. We live in coastal North Carolina and these poles have withstood the heavy rains and winds from hurricanes, so I can attest to the fact that they are durable. They are adjustable so if you don't need the full height, you can just leave 1 or 2 of the pieces of the pole in the box. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again if I need to hang an additional set of string lights.
